Sorry, but that has done it for me.

You don't put a right footed player, you don't trust, at left back, yet leave your left footed defender at right back.

Fcking stupid.

A shapeless, gutless performance. Players walking, not challenging, arguing with each other. No shape, no desire.

Something has to happen and fast as we have relegation written all over us.

***having had a good night's sleep, I don't want MC sacked, I just can't sit through this anymore. I actually hate this club at the moment.***

Part of the problem with Nourry is that so much of what is freely availabile about the child on the internet does not stack up.

To start with, the Club's announcement on 12 Jan 2024 about his appointment - https://www.qpr.co.uk/news/2024/january/12/christian-nourry-replaces-lee-hoos-as
This states that :

"Nourry has spent the past half-decade as an advisor and consultant to some of the most significant ownership groups and football clubs worldwide, most recently in his capacity as Managing Partner for Europe of market-leading football data analytics and advisory business, RETEXO.

It adds that "Nourry previously served as co-founder of the Get Football Group, a sports media organisation specialising in the provision of news and analysis of European football in English to millions of fans worldwide as well as other international media companies."

Okay - so the past 5 years - back to January 2019 then.

However, there is then this interview that he gave to the Business School at Imperial College London seemingly after April 2021 (because of the timings in the Article) - https://www.imperial.ac.uk/business-school/faculty-research/research-centres/gan From this, he was apparently at Trinity, Oxford prior to 2019/2020 when he was next at Imperial (remember of course that Covid was in full swing then).

That article has him as founder of HB Media in April 2021 (which was clearly a bunch of nobodies- "HB Media is made up of 10 Gen Z team members, all 24 or younger and almost all with some major early experience in media or entertainment – from an ex-production assistant of a Hollywood actor, to an ex-singer/songwriter who had recording deal offers from Sony and Universal.") It was a social media business for 19 to 24 year olds (his age at the time). There is no mention of him working in football or setting up Get Football Group.

HB Media Group Limited was a real entity https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/officers/n7hGT1sbqJN2 Not a roaring success according to its accounts and wound up in January 2024 (when he was appointed at QPR).

The chronology suggests that he did a degree, did a course at Imperial 19/20, set up HB Media. He clearly joined RETEXO at some point after April 2021 - HB's accounts for31 December 2022 are for a dornant company. He does not appear to have been advising leading European clubs for the last 5 years.

In short, I am calling bullsh!t on him.

Got talking to a West Ham fan today. Told him what was going wrong and he was absolutely baffled when I told him we let a 26 yr old be CEO and DOF. It's actually embarrassing. Everyone sees that except the owners.

Same when I tell other fans that we asked a recruitment consultant to find us a footballing CEO; he looked around, came back and said "why not give me the job"? They're all like WTF.

Our owners are brainless (and irresponsible).

FFS, it just gets more ludicrous!!

I keep saying it, but ever since I've supported QPR, the cast of individuals who either own and/or are employed to oversee its management can mainly be divided into three groups: crooks, clowns, or charlatans, and rarely as consummate professionals.

If the club didn't do due diligence on a 26 year old budding megalomaniac, then it's clearly another indicator of their utter incompetence and/or determination to crash the ship.

Even a busted clock will get it right at least twice a day, we cannot even manage that!

I think one factor for sure is Hoos was completely burnt out and desperate to leave.

I know he'd been in this country a long time, but in my experience, American interviewing processes are quite different to here. I'm not saying one is necessarily better than the other, but it's not unusual over there to identify a someone and then just hire them, without a competitive process.

Nourry had perhaps done a decent job on the audit, was full of energy and ambition, so Hoos convinced Ruben and co to just let him leave and give Nourry the job. Seems increasingly obvious that's what happened here.

At half time when they do that game, get the ball near the pole, use Nourry as the pole. We, the fans, then get to boot as many footballs at him in 15 minutes.

Great work, Nico.

I too had taken a gander at his Companies House appointments. HB Media Group has unaudited micro accounts showing just £43k of assets and £42k of creditors in 2021 with net assets of under a grand. It’s not a proper business, let alone one advising the giants of European football. There were 10 shareholders in here. It’s been dissolved.

The other business he has been a legal director in is RADF Limited. He is the only shareholder. Current assets in 2023 of £71k, with net assets of £64k. No idea what this business is. My guess is he has created a limited company for him to use for freelance/consulting activity for him to be paid into so he avoids income tax.

No mention anywhere of him being a founder or director or Retexo. Charles Gould is the Founder.

He’s a recruitment consultant, who’s been involved in Retexo for 3 years.

He has no experience as a leader of business or people, no genuine experience in football, and he certainly hasn’t been in the game for 11 years.

Our owners did no due diligence on his appointment. Employing Retexo, I can just about get my head around. They advised some other clubs. But Nourry was just an employee and had only been the case for about 3 years.

Imagine you own a £20m turnover business, and you engage Deloitte (generous, a very small local consultancy firm is a better analogy) and you have them do an audit of your operations. The grunt work is done by the associate (as standard). At the end of this audit, you make the Associate CEO.

That is what Ruben has done.

The Associate, rather than admit they’re fortunate and a bit out of their depth so needs to rely on others, then proceeds to lie to all and sundry about his credentials due to the understandable insecurity, and becomes a directive control freak.

It would be a travesty if it was a local £20m business. It is worse when it’s your football club too, which thousands care deeply about.

He needs to go immediately.

What I don't get is who's idea was it to role the CEO and DoF into one job?

If it was Hoos, that's quite an about turn from his comments when originally joining. If it is Nourry then who signed off on it? It's one thing to have him setting budgets and overseeing the commercial side of the company but it seems negligent to let him be involved in the transfers as well.

Nourry decided it. He has made this clear, himself. He obviously made the recommendation and crystallised the decision after his appointment.

He was appointed CEO (not DoF) in Jan 2024. Ferdinand resigned in the summer of 2023, I recall, over the Investors decision to give Ainsworth the keys to recruitment.

Hoos said on a few occasions, if I recall correctly I believe one was the fans forum a year ago, that there was a recruitment process underway for a DOF but it wasn’t a priority/we weren’t rushing into it/ weren’t 100% convinced about the need for one. I’m sure I recall Clive even commenting about this being an about turn for Hoos.

Anyway, Nourry came in and announced we would not be hiring a DOF and he would be a “football focused CEO.”

It wouldn’t surprise me if his appointment and the decision over the combining of both roles was one that a) came out whilst he was doing the audit of the club, and b) was the reason Ferdinand resigned.

This just gets scarier and scarier.

Their propensity to be seduced by an outside influence to such a scale that they offer him the most important role in the club is one thing (and utterly believable) but I've always assumed that person at least would have been able to demonstrate a competence of some form.

It feels like they've fallen into the Beale powerpoint trap once again, this time with a bigger bullshitter in a bigger role. They believed a recruitment consultant with a couple of years of experience and two failed 'businesses' could run a professional football club. This didn't just smell fishy from the off, it smelt like a docker's gooch after a 24 hour shift. And even then they couldn't see through it.

This has to be a crisis point which provokes wholesale change, surely? It's like starting to see through an addict's lies and cover-ups. They're desperate and incompetent beyond all feared measure. The definition of not fit, nor proper custodians. All they do is write checks and let people take advantage of them.

I've no idea what happens from here but it feels like it's about to cut up very, very rough.

Great work on the research.

Surely a sports title like The Athetic or WLS would be interested in looking into it, they could start by trying to interview Charles Gould at Retexo to find out the truth about what he did/achieved there. Anyone remember that film 'Catch me if you can', we need it flushed out before he does any more damage.

Warburton though was scapegoated for the collapse of a season when the reasons (injuries, recruitment) had little to do with him. He made plenty of mistakes undoubtedly. The people running the show were allowed another swing at it and produced an even more ridiculously bad transfer window and a season of three disastrous managerial appointments.

Sacking Cifuentes would scapegoat him for a collapse when the reasons (injuries, recruitment) have little to do with him. He’s made plenty of mistakes undoubtedly. I would not be letting the people responsible for this have another swing with a managerial appointment and transfer window.

Interestingly, Warburton himself made it clear he held himself responsible, or at least was a major factor in, our catastrophic decline over several months before he (rightly) wasn't renewed. In his own words,

'You have to self-review, look back and give honest appraisals. You can’t go, "oh we were unlucky with injuries", that’s not good enough. Anyone who knows me knows I’m self-critical and go back over things time and again. It haunts you but that’s how you learn.'

https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/mark-warburton-interview-qpr-champi

Likewise, whatever the noise around Nourry right now, Cifuentes and Calm, and their team, which he prepares or fails to prepare properly, need to eanr their money and up their game big time. It's his/their team at the end of the day. And if he's such a cuck that he allowed the likes of Celar and Madsen to be brought in against his wishes, morally speaking, and can't get a tune out of them, he should be sacked anyway.

There's no tax advantage to running a business through a limited company, that loophole was closed years ago. Actually there's a disadvantage now.

Profits are taxed at a minimum 19% , dividends are paid from taxed profit and then taxed again depending on your personal tax band.

Surely a sports title like The Athetic or WLS would be interested in looking into it, they could start by trying to interview Charles Gould at Retexo to find out the truth about what he did/achieved there. Anyone remember that film 'Catch me if you can', we need it flushed out before he does any more damage.

No point interviewing either about what they’ve been up to. All you’ll get is spin and more spin.

Do you remember “The Lionel Messi of business”

Where do you think that phrase came from, knowing what you now know….

Edit: bang on with with film reference “Catch me if you can”, had the exact same discussion last night

There's no tax advantage to running a business through a limited company, that loophole was closed years ago. Actually there's a disadvantage now.

Profits are taxed at a minimum 19% , dividends are paid from taxed profit and then taxed again depending on your personal tax band.

IR35 was closed years ago but there is still massive advantages to being paid into a ltd company for example you can pay 200k into a pension through your company if you have sufficient annual allowance, you can buy everything thing you need through your ltd company and write off as biz expenses. You can even buy a commercial property through a ltd company

Edit: anyway, Nourry need to F off and be shown the door, disaster!
