Tonight’s Match… on 12:00 - Nov 7 by TVOS1907 | Nobody mentioned Henderson's achievements! Anyway, regardless of anyone's way of thinking, it is officially classed as a competitive first team game and will be logged as such in all club archives and records. [Post edited 7 Nov 12:05]

Turn the screw did and a couple of other posters indirectly. I understand the official position…we recorded our lowest ever attendance officially. I look forward to the day when someone breaks the club appearance record, or the club goalscoring record in a game against oxford uniteds youth team. Official nonsense.

Tony Ford played his 1000th game in a competition that had been around for less than twenty years. A competition many think has lost its importance since including u21 teams. Short of going through every club and every players’ games and working out which is a designated ‘proper’ competition by whoever is looking, we can only stick to what exists at present. If Henderson or anyone else had got a hat-trick in the Football League Trophy at Wembley against Tottenham u21s would we really be not wanting them to be included in his official stats? Or what if Gary Jones had done the same against Southampton’s first team in the same competition in front of 40,000? “Nah, that’s official nonsense because of all those u21 teams we beat along the way”. We can dislike all these different competitions and debate their worth, but they remain first team games unless designated otherwise.

I was using the Wembley final scenario and relying on us taking a few thousand!

This whole scenario is based on uncertain grounds...

Very true that, these are designated as official games whether we like it or not. The notorious Cambridge home game no longer applies when it comes to our lowest attendance. The good news though is that Hendo added to his tally. He'd still score goals next season, he's been a fabulous player for us.
