US Election thread 10:22 - Nov 3 with 6594 views | Gwyn737 | Still so unpredictable. I reckon it’s a toss up between two outcomes. Either the polls are right and it’s Trump (just), or their madly off and it’s Harris by a big margin.

Really have you asked the free world? You should consider a career in the BBC they are one eyed too. Don't get me wrong Trump not really my cup of tea but would choose him over boris rishi and starmer anyway going to stock up on popcorn no doubt it's going to be box office

You can shove your snark. I see you forgot how the leaders of the free world were the last time Trump was in power. The must unhappy faces ever on the official photos and the "unofficial" comments leaked underlined the feelings.

I kind of get why some Americans vote for Trump. After all, he’s on the country’s side and will fight for them. Gid knows we could do with someone like that ourselves in the current climate. But why you and other Brits would want him in office perplexes me. He has no interest in the world outside the USA. He wants to leave NATO, how’s that going to go down currently? He’s a vindictive man-child who will remember the actions of our current government fighting for the Democrats. It is not good for us, it’s not good for the rest of the west. Maybe you and your ilk should go and live there?

They turned out in their thousands to cheer and support her and she hasn’t even got the good grace to face them.

There again,if the Conservatives had pledged to seal or protect our borders, maybe they’d still be in power. Trump is a nauseating felon so it shows how inept Harris is. I thought she ran an awful campaign . Wheeling out Oprah and Springsteen wasn’t the answer

The President of the United States is, in effect, the leader of the free world. It may not always seem obvious, but the actions and decisions of the U.S. president have profound global implications that affect us all. I supported Trump in the most recent election because I genuinely believed the alternative would have got us into World War III before you could even say "election fraud." When I assess leadership, I focus not just on personalities but on tangible outcomes. Comparing Trump's first term to the last four years, it’s clear to me that the world was undeniably safer during his time in office. That's not just my opinion—it’s a fact supported by global events. In the end, it’s not about partisan loyalty; it’s about securing peace and stability on a global scale. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

The US reverting back to being isolated from the rest of the world isn't something we should wish for ,look at the damage it cost the free world during WW2 I agree someone who puts his/ her country first is admirable, just look at Poland but they also recognise the importance of being part of a collective.IMO Trump being elected is not good , certainly not in this current climate. As much as I disliked Thatcher at least she believed in the UK ,illegal immigrants, wouldn't happen.

That’s a good post and fair comment I’m an equally honest poster and I say this Trump is physically nauseating and morally bankrupt . He offers nowt but insults and polemic . He is corrupt and a convicted criminal who seems to have bought his way out of jail. No country can be proud of that . As for policies, meh Harris ,to me, hardly president material who ran a pitiful campaign

Polemic is needed in politics, it’s been sorely missing for decades now. We’ve seen MP’s openly crying in the chamber because their feelings are hurt it’s become so sanitised it’s pathetic.

It’s not just America. Prince George is only ten and he’s about two inches taller than Vladimir Putin already. That’s without the high heels that Putin wears obviously.

A lot more democratic than some countries I am sure you can name. Where dictators change the constitution to allow them to rule until they pass away.

I bet Trump will be far better at sorting immigration than any of our wishy-washy politicians. The American people's number top priorities were immigration & the economy he will sort both out. Amazing how Black / Latino Americans also voted for Trump, probably wanting what is best for their country like decent folk of any colour in our country.

Wanting the best for one’s country is something that is seen as right wing fascism here or extreme We need to stop the boats We need to send them straight back . We need to make our island less attractive to them Simple really

That's what Trump said when he lost the last election. The irony was lost on you. Which country has changed it's constitution to allow dictatorship? The only one that comes to mid was Germany under the NAZIS
