Road to Wembley thread 10:43 - Jan 3 with 56237 views | RangersDave | Yup, gone early on this one, however....... I'm not so sure Fleetwood will be a pushover, especially with our .... unfit, tired, ill, useless, out of contract soon, (delete as appropriate) players. With that in mind, i'm going 1-2 to the Rangers with Fleetwood scoring first and very early in the match.

Road to Wembley thread on 15:57 - Jan 7 with 3289 views | Greenbay | We're playing like a League 1 team against a mid-table League 1 side. Fleetwood have had several chances. Our defence wobbly to say the least. Dozzell in midfield - so disappointing. Willock occasionally showing some quality. Chair playing at 50% of what he can do. We took control after 10 minutes - lots of possession - then a scrambled Field goal on 37. Then 3 minutes later unmarked Nsiala headed home from a corner. If this is the way we play in this new year - then we are going to struggle. If we were a decent side - then we should easily beat Fleetwood. But this team is not - at the momen!

Road to Wembley thread on 15:59 - Jan 7 with 3206 views | wortonranger | Got to say Our attitude to this game is a huge contrast to Sheff U All the determination is with Fleetwood whilst we stroll around like Billy Big Boots. Uncle particularly Guilty
Road to Wembley thread on 16:00 - Jan 7 with 3181 views | swisscottage | Uncle Albert's playing like his namesake today, really really poor, and Willock hasn't offered much either. The only players coming out this with any credit are Kakay, Chair and Field.

They are both better in a three & seldom look comfortable together in a two. Monday night was the exception though.
Road to Wembley thread on 16:00 - Jan 7 with 3138 views | dmm | We're not really 'at it' so far in this game. I feel we lack the dynamism of Laird and Paal out wide, plus Willock continues to look way out of form. Nonetheless, we really ought to win.

Road to Wembley thread on 15:56 - Jan 7 by baz_qpr | He had 3 years and a number of horrendous losing runs. As to today, Dunne, Adomah, Willock, Dozell, Dykes all really really poor Quite interesting that we are playing a "Beale free" team |
What I mean is that we need to formulate the template and stick to it. As it is, it's clear from what I am seeing that the manager is finding his feet, we are plumping for players who don't fit the model (Adomah and Hamaleinen) and also going with one or two who are not up for it (Willock). We need to stop carrying on like this. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Road to Wembley thread on 15:55 - Jan 7 by ManinBlack | We are doing our bit so far. Fleetwood only two home wins this season, defender scores first goal for 4 years and Fleetwood never got past round 3 so all set up for us to gift them the win. We need to up our game second half to prevent this. |
I wish I hadn't read that. That's a classic Charity Park Rangers scenario.

I don’t really understand why Critchley didn’t start Armstrong today. If you’re not going to play him in this then you’re never going to play him. The only reason I can think is he thought Dykes might score a hat full against lesser defenders and get his shooting boots back. He looks no more like scoring than he ever does!! And by the way….Willock has been atrocious. Offers absolutely nothing. [Post edited 7 Jan 2023 16:24]
