The forecast seems to have shifted a bit with snow now forecast overnight and during the day as well as the previous sub zero temperatures. Hopefully the covers will do their job but it looks as though it’ll be below freezing at kick off.

Shame for the fans but needs must I suppose. Not enough days left to have too many postponed games.
Be interesting to see how many people manage to tune in.
Would bringing our start forward to 6pm be such a hardship? The away team and officials will be here and most fans could get to tune in. Finishing by 8pm would give the ground temperature a chance of being "unfrozen" throughout the game. And would reduce the risk of injuries

So bringing kick off forward was a last ditch attempt to get the game on then.
Yes. Having looked at the Carlisle forecast yesterday, it seemed they thought the pitch would be playable earlier in the day, but the weather seems to have beaten them anyway.

Last pitch attempt?
Chris Beech's Carlisle already 3 or 4 games behind their promotions rivals and this could have a serious impact. It'd be good to see both Carlisle & Tranmere promoted, wishing both their managers well

Be interesting to see BBM, Hill and Beech in the same division and see who comes out on top come the end of the season.

Unless .............
Humphrys mentioned not being able to execute the game plan on Saturday is that because it was the same plan we used last time. Hopefully tonight's team talk isn't like this
