Forgetting the result, what was it like going to what's effectively a "lockdown" match.

Purely what it was like at the game, before, during etc how things were run, outside the ground beforehand and afterwards leaving, and during HT, drinks, food etc etc.

Not the game itself.

The Covid Footie experience?

Feel a bit colder with so few people around and socially distanced?

Burger vans outside LR?

In a word ....sh!t

Had to drive 2 hours as the train direct was not running and didn’t fancy being hoarded up on the tube from Euston putting myself and my boy at risk .
Due to above , had to remain sober , watching qpr atm without alcohol is like having a filling done without being sedated.
Outside the ground was not too different to match day just not as busy
Inside was a like a cup game when they close half the ground anyway .
Atmosphere was sh!t but not sure I can blame coronavirus for that any more than our clubs slow dwindling slide into obscurity
Having said all that it was great to be back watching live football and at least with the late goal and kick in the teeth it was like I had never been away

I enjoyed it enough. Certainly not a match day experience of course, but infinitely better than watching it on a stream, particularly as we had good seat in Saffer Upper.

Good to see the new players and the shape, particularly LTC's constant pass, move, receive, pass orchestration.

Everything's not the same at the moment - pubs, shops, travel. But will i stick my name into all the ballots...yep.

Poll: Kitchen threads or polls?

Whisper it quietly but I thoroughly enjoyed it. My normal match day it to get to the conningham around 1.00 and squeeze round by the pool table and have to queue 5 deep at the bar for a beer. As the conningham does not serve food I assumed it would be closed so we booked a table in the pocket watch. Now this is where things became different. Arrived at 1.00 with only four others in the pub so no issue with social distancing. Took our table and were served with a couple of beers with in a minute. Ordered some lunch, they were doing three small plates for £14 so split between 2 was good value. Ordered a few more rounds with out leaving our seats and even spoke to a few others which made a change.

Left the pub around 2.30 and made our way to the ground. As mentioned is was quite well organized. Got to our seats in SAR and had a good view. It was just great to be back. The atmosphere was ok but the game managed to kill that off!! Easy to get in and out of the loon at half time. Turned out a few other mates were scattered around us so it was also good to catch up with them. No pub post game which was a change but the journey home via white city tube was quiet and safe. I guess I'm getting old🙂🙂

In a word ... Emotional. So great to be back. Didn’t pine during lockdown and never expected a ticket on Saturday but fk me when I walked in the ground ... I didn’t realise what the place meant to me.

An absolute privilege to be there . must be loads of football fans in the 64k that have died including possibly some Rangers so just to be sitting there made you count your blessings.

It was well organised IMO .in School End , I was asked by a steward if I was well and to wear my mask throughout and to enjoy the game . Socially distanced bogs 1 in 1 out . The only thing for me was being on my own, my sons are isolating after flying in from Zurich and I missed annoying them with "Dad " comments on the game.

I completely agree. Thought it was very well handled, told to keep masks on throughout. There was an app you could use to pre-order food for those who must have their chicken balti's :)

Was an absolute privilege to back in the ground.

Couple of blokes near me in the Upper school end left around 20mins before the end to go the pub, which is their prerogative I suppose

As I said on another thread, not the same as being in my usual ER seat with 14,000 others but better than being at home.

Very well organised and mask wearing pretty much 100% I thought.

Average age higher than a normal game I thought, traffic and getting in/out of ground/toilets a bonus.

No seats in Row A in upper school end confused us not very bright Rs fans though!

I'm at the other end of the ground in SA Road tomorrow , so another new view, last time I was up there was when we lost 4-2 to Chelsea in the FA Cup!

Been on the tour and up there for Stan's game, but more in the middle both times.
