Match Thread: Rochdale vs Fleetwood on 16:01 - Oct 4 by leedsdale | I had wondered the same about another youth player being on the bench, but the youth team played yesterday morning. |
True probably didn't want to diminish the youth team too much and with Hopper, Brierley and Dunne on the bench it was unlikely he'd be needed.

Match Thread: Rochdale vs Fleetwood on 15:46 - Oct 4 by D_Dale | Hendo was 'captain-like' when calling the other players over to congratulate the goalscorer: https://www.skysports.com/football/stevenage-vs-salford-city/report/430303 A good result yesterday. BBM does seem to have got the team working together. I wonder why he didn't give Kacper M. the last place on the bench, to encourage him and the other young players. Accy on Saturday should be lively. Dale need to show the form of the last six league meetings - all won, but by the odd goal (four 2-1, two 1-0). |
Good post apart from the reference to that ex player of ours and that awful club. Hope he goes on a terrible run of form, that fooks up any good form they have. And he’s not “our” Hendo.

Agree. A lovely interview and gives us an even clearer insight into how the experienced players help the young ones. I just wish the word 'definitely' was removed from the dictionary. They removed 'gullible', why not this one? :)

Call me a sentimental old fool, but in the last few seasons I think Henderson had some great games in a Dale shirt. In those six wins against Accrington, for example, he scored four of Dale's ten goals (the other six were Lund 3, Rathbone, Dooley and Hogan one each). Of course, there's some bitterness about how he (and/or his agent) contrived the end of his Dale career, but that's sadly an aspect of the game today.

Agreed it’s a sign that we can compete and indeed are no mugs! Played well Fleetwood yesterday.... Being completely fair and honest I though Barton spoke really well on Sky last night.

Fleetwood played much better last night than they did against us, but you can argue they played not as well against us because of the way we played. They looked more up for it than Hull did last night, that’s for sure. I know a lot of talk here is about Camps, but Saunders is the story for me. He looks good. He played for Barnard Castle in his youth. Explains his eye for goal.
