What it absolutley proves is how stupid it was for Wales to be in a longer lock down than England. Pubs and restaurants have had their hours curtailed at exactly the same time as England but with a month less to build up some funds to cover the inevitable. So your now cherry picking. How about Birmingham, Greater Manchester, the North East, Leicester etc which all went into lockdown before anywhere in Wales and went into lockdown because Johnson opened pubs earlier than Drakeford and it spread earlier.

The reality is that since both countries have opened up pubs cases have multiplied and it has been made far worse by Johnson opening up our borders with Air Bridges. People went on holidays to a multitude of countries which they were told were safe only to bring coronavirus back with them.

The end result is that many more businesses will end up closing due to following your policy to save the travel and hospitality industries. How many jobs are going to go in things like factories, offices and shops for letting the virus in and allowing it to spread. Confidence is now back to rock bottom. Listen to the head of Next today.

Look at the reality of how places that closed their borders have fared compared to us. The evidence is clear but it doesnt suit your wishes.

Surely everybody is anti covid?

We are slowly removing the plaster from the wound, and opening it back up, now Sweden ripped the plaster right off. and let the wound heal naturally, and of course they have saved far more lives at all levels of health then the amount of Covid deaths will ever achieve, a rush of 5000 odd deaths from Covid back in April and they were ridiculed and accused of causing an impending disaster, yet now currently still 5000 odd deaths 5 months later and the infection rate dropping all the time, wonder why the subject of Sweden is avoided like the plaque by the UK gov and media, excuse the pun.

More and more of the medical profession are saying the same

I’m leaning towards this more and more. I was fully behind lockdown in March mainly because the thought of a deadly virus ravaging through my lovely 98 year old grans care home was just vile to me and we all want to protect those we love. But now it’s nearly October, I haven’t been able to see her in over six months. She’s now allowed one family visitor once a week for half an hour (cancelled if it’s raining) which is obviously my mum. The rest of the time she’s probably lying in bed wondering why the f*ck everybody has abandoned her. The carers all come in kitted out in masks and goggles and gloves, she’s probably not seen a friendly face or a smile. She has dementia so they won’t be able to explain what’s happening. She must be bloody terrified. The harm we are doing seems to be massively outweigh the risks. If she had the choice she would take the risk of the virus if it meant having her family around rather than just lying alone for months.

These stores have well paid managers and supervision staff.No reason whatsoever for not challenging.

They stop,detain and challenge shoplifters. Odd balls or not.

One of my early career was in retail management I stopped ,brought back to store,and searched thieve. Then , Police called and statement given with possible future court appearance.

If we do not challenge those who break the rules,bad things happen,which is exactly what is happening now.

What would I do,? If manager err on the side of safety and have her /him ejected from the store as I would not want anyone to be infected because of them.No doubt ,you ll disagree but ,if we do nothing,we are fecked.

The summer lockdown has solved nothing. All that has happened is that the inevitable infections have been delayed until Autumn, which makes things worse as cold/flu infections start rising now too. Hence the overrunning of test centres as anyone with a sniffle now wants a test as they think they have Covid.

Quite why the UK and Devolved Governments now think that yet another lockdown is the answer when the last one was so pointless is something that future generations will study and wonder about.

There is no way out of this without a vaccine or enough immunity to stop it spreading. It's f*cking ludicrous that the emphasis has shifted from "protect the NHS" to "prevent infection" so easily.

Infections don't need to be prevented. They need to be managed so those at least risk are most likely to get them.

It’s pathetic, we were going to go down the same route but the press bullied the government and that hideously over estimated death figure ensured we didn’t.
