Is the lock down ending too soon? on 18:48 - Jul 7 by Andy1300
All it takes is a cough or a sneeze or someone spraying when talking, you don’t need to be in someone’s company for an extended period.
I can’t believe that you don’t know this after months of public health information
Yes, but the chances of someone sneezing on you and it hitting your face in the supermarket are low. Never happened to me in thousands of visits. And it’s even lower when people are wearing a mask.
Whereas the chances of people inside in a pub in close proximity for several hours passing the virus on are far higher. Hard to drink with a mask on as well.

All it takes is for you to pick up something that may have been put back on a shelf by someone that may have left the virus on it, bingo, you’ve caught covid.
From what a friend was saying about their visit to a pub on Sunday, it was an awful experience and they won’t be going again anytime soon. They said it didn’t feel right not being able to socialise with others who also wanted to socialise, they were only allowed a 2 hour slot.

I was in Halfords on sat and a guy started sneezing a few metres from me. I moved immediately. I was wearing a mask at the time and although rare it does happen.

No it doesn’t.
You also have to touch your mouth or nose or eyes before washing your hands. You can’t catch it through your hands.

I didn’t say there was zero chance. There’s less chance than sitting in a pub for a couple of hours.

You think people are more intelligent than they are.
They have to put warning labels on foods because of stupid people, they have to tell people to wash their hands, they should know to wash hands.
You touch your face more times a day then you would believe.
Why are you always right Lisa?
I bet you’re not always right though
Perhaps Lisa hasn't seen this
If that is accurate, it seems to make you think your'e not safe anywhere yet. Although the supermarket thing which the way coughs and sneezes spread was a long time ago, well feels a long time ago, most prob at the start of it all. Heard no mention since though!

No I don’t.
But it doesn’t matter how intelligent people are. You said if I touch something that a person infected with Covid has touched I have Covid. That’s complete nonsense.
Why does their intelligence have any impact on whether I wash my hands before touching my face?
I’m quite aware of how often I touch my face thanks. At the beginning of this I had to constantly stop myself doing it. After a few months, it’s become far less of a habit for all of us I suspect.

What on Earth are you talking about?
Of course it affects England more, there's more private enterprise. The debate is about whether lockdown is ending too soon.
I'm mirroring what many others have said, there will be significant consequences to the curtain twitching mentality many have.
The fact is the Senydd has absolutely nothing to do with much of this. John Lewis cuts are in England under Johnson and his chancellor's watch and they are the ones you have been backing. Their sooner lockdown hasnt helped and Sunak has yet to prove himself. Time will tell just like it will on the Drakeford but you hate the Senydd like many on here and criticise them because of their politics. There will be job losses everywhere not just in Wales and it will be added to by Brexit.

FFS mate, you're really not getting this.
This isn't supporting the English way or Welsh way. This is a question about lockdown in general terms.
Stop being so precious about the WAG this is a wider debate about strategy and concerns regarding job losses.

People losing their jobs because of the effects of lockdown are not losing them because of the Tories, they are and have been trying to save as many jobs as possible.
The Welsh assembly have been over cautious and will exacerbate the situation here in Wales.

History will be rewritten on this, it's incredible.
Criticise the tory response on health, of course you can.
But Economically? Feck me they're trying. I think they've probably overreached if anything.
If the UK Government hadn't have moved on this, I dread to think where we'd be.

I have a neighbour who is a social worker, we were discussing this today, she couldn’t bring herself to applaud their efforts to save the economy and jobs.
As you say, the health situation is questionable, I’d lobe to have seen a labour governments efforts and results, sadly, we won’t ever know
