I'd rather watch a documentary on the origins and history of the Danish Postal Service.

The standard is very poor.

Women's world cup on 15:30 - Jun 7 with 8303 viewsploppy

Thing is, we watch the Swans in the Championship which is a lower standard than the PL. We used to watch the Swans in the old 4th division which was pretty dire at times. Some people probably watch their local league teams which is a lower standard than 4th division. How poor does the standard have to be before you won't watch it? Or do we treat women's football as if it's a different sport? I'm coming to the conclusion that there's no point comparing it to the men's game. I'd be surprised if an international women's team could beat a Welsh League men's team. Will I be watching? Unlikely.

Yes looking forward to see this global sport continue to grow.

Like tennis, its not about women beating men or vice versa.

Sad that Wales are not involved.

Enjoy it.

u15 boys teams ( not even national sides ) have beaten Australia and USA in the past.

It's ok if you view it as a world cup without expecting the same quality in the men's game.

It would be ludicrous to expect the same quality as men. No one expects the women's 100 metres at the Olympics to be as fast as the men's but it
can still be a great race.

Having just watched the highlights, I must say I am quite impressed with the French ladies team .
We could do with some of that firepower up front for us, puts our lot to shame.

Watched some of it and was impressed by -
good control
pacy
a CB (Reanrd) who could head a ball accurately (take note Ollie)
no back chat to the officials
no play acting
no crumpling to the floor at the slightest touch

The women have good control and good vision too, but hardly pacy, and they get loads of time on the ball - no closing down, non existent defenders and terrible goalkeeping.

Sweden Chile match stopped because of a bit of rain. Presumably don’t want their hair to get wet or it’ll go frizzy or something...

This is bizarre. Only about fifteen minutes left and the ref pulls the players off the pitch cos it’s raining a bit. I could understand if the pitch was cutting up and it became dangerous. I’ve played in worse rain in the Neath league up in Onllwyn.

Germany to reach the Final was 9/4, don't know what the price is now, prob about the same as they weren't great in their opening match. They're third favourites, but are in the other side of the draw to the two fav's. Got a fair amount on them, fingers crossed.
