I think “irrelevant little club” is how he referred to us after the “derby” the other Tuesday night. I’m sure they will be really relevant and on the tips of footballing peoples tongues up and down the country next season when they are playing Macclesfield and Forest Green.
It might be a shite old slog being a Dale supporter sometimes but I’m fully relaxed in the knowledge that our wee clubs best days are in front of them not behind them. C5 highlights struggled to find a crying 6 year old but just about managed to find an upset teenager. Such is TV.
I’ve quoted a Mad Max line all week, 2 shall enter but only one shall leave. We could only survive if you didn’t. Had to be a loser.
The game between the two of us springs to mind. Negative approach by Oldham that night celebrated by some as a vital point in our two clubs battle.
The manner of that game summed up the rest of the season.
Dale fought every second to the end, even if we kept shooting ourselves in the foot.

Im not usually hostile towards other clubs and like to see all local teams do well two of my mates are Oldham supporters but as a club I think their fans are horrible. The town full of pedo chants, attacking women in the pearl st end a few years ago, referring to us as dogdale every opportunity they get. Fook em let them manufacture a rivalry with Macc as they toss themselves into oblivion over the fact that they have the best away following in league two. | | | |
