Spurs at home on 20:05 - Jan 29 by RAFCBLUE | "The venue of each match (save for the Semi-Finals or Final which will be played at venues selected by the Professional Game Board) will be that of the first named Club. Subject to Competition Rules 9(a)(ii) and 9(a)(iii) such match shall be played on that ground unless the consent of the Professional Game Board has been obtained to any change of venue. In the case of a replay, subject to Competition Rules 9(a)(ii) and 9(a)(iii), the match shall be played on the ground of the second drawn Club, unless the consent of the Professional Game Board has been obtained to any change of venue." It's possible but complicated and the Professional Game Board has to authorise it. In that case, it reads like we don't play at Wembley but another suitable ground. I assume as Marine did in the year that they used Anfield for our tie when they were drawn at home. Still worth considering the possibility even though as others say, Millwall are nailed on to play their first team now. |
The rules are different to when we played Marine 29 years ago. That's why the likes of Sutton played Arsenal at home last season.

Spurs at home on 19:47 - Jan 29 by dingdangblue | But for late goals at the weekend we could have had the mouthwatering prospect of Rochdale v Newport for a place in the FA Cup Quarter Finals! Can only see this being Millwall v Spurs : you very rarely get a 2nd chance at an upset. â˜¹ï¸ |
Millwall have won 1 league game away from home out of 14 this season scoring just 10 goals Yes I would make them favourites as we are not exactly "fortress Spotland" this season but they are certainly not unbeatable especially if we can have a game without mistakes at the back [Post edited 29 Jan 2018 20:24]

Spurs at home on 20:28 - Jan 29 with 2876 views | BigDaveMyCock | Thinking of sending this letter to FA. Dear Sirs In the the highly likely event that Tottenham beat Newport and the highly unlikely event that Rochdale can fulfill the Millwall fixture before Haley’s Comet comes around again, and beat them in said fixture, I would strongly advise that the Rochdale versus Tottenham fixture be played at Wembley because if it’s played at Crown Echo Beach: (i) there’s a very strong possibility that Eric Dier, Deli Alli and Harold Kane might drown before the World Cup; (ii) we’re trying to rid the image of us being a load of backward not rights and if the nation gets one view of that 1970s pitch with no grass on it, it will, for a multitude of reasons, ruin any progress made; and (iii) it’s been a vvank season and a trip to Wembley will take the edge off it. All the best and well done with appointing Big Sam. BDCM PS with regards to the World Cup, have you thought about making all the top Prem teams with the foreign stars play Cardiff before the World Cup? Just a thought like. Spurs at home on 20:38 - Jan 29 with 2806 views | rodneysafairy | I see your home game tomorrow is already off and looking at the comments on here sounds like it is awful I can tell you looking at the comments on spurs site many of their fans are not happy if they have to go to your place and in their words saying its not fair having to play on a "shitheap" as one put it See they are prem fans, probably young and have never known anything but prem and snooker style pitches Not sure if im happy with draw if the lions manage to turn you lot over Can do without all the bad publicity and all the stuff that goes with it The last time we played Spurs at home was in a friendly, well a Testimonial in 2001and there were 127 arrests ! Plus lots of disorder, even some spurs fans coming back in the evening and smashing a local pub up This is already being talked about on walls main site and man have not forgotten We also played them in the Quarter final many may recall and were well beaten 0-6 Had the first team keeper out that day and a few injurys but still well beat This is the first time the draw has come out with millwall involved with a possb home draw v Tottenham since 1967 !(spurs went on to win it that year v spurs) Have good memories of Spurs as this was my first Ever game i went to ended 0-0 in front of over 40,000 , this was also the first time millwall ever featured On the old match of the Day cameras with commentary by Frank Bough(one for the oldies) The replay at whl the crowd was just short of 59,000 ! with they reckon 10,000 plus locked out Amazingly about a month later spurs played Real Madrid and there was a few thousand less ! can you imagine , different times and era Tbh would not be that upset if the Dale go through, its sometimes not worth all the hassle and dont honestly think millwall could beat spurs I would not say that on a wall site, i would be Destroyed People have to understand the difference between a Big game at south london shall we say and a ordinary game A different type of person turns up for these and its a problem the club still have to solve if they ever do And even if they were to beat the Dale and get a replay vo spurs , wembley is a place i dont like and has become a little boring almost our second home in recent years Souless, overpriced poor Atmosphere, too big etc And Spurs v Millwall at wembley ummm could be a recipe for , well lets just say it could get messy So in some ways i would not lose any sleep if Tuesday next it ends in tears

Haven’t Spurs already thumped Millwall in the other cup comp this season already ? No prob getting mixed up with last season in the Quarter final 0-6 at WHL And a game where our ex player harry kane went off injured after 12 mins and was out for a while after this Imagine if he had stayed on for the whole game !

millwall have won 1 league game away from home out of 14 this season scoring just 10 goals Yep they have been very unlucky thou tbh, thrown a 2 goal lead away from home 3 times Also the forewards are not up to championship level Morison knocking on now Gregory has good touch and skill 1st touch etc but misses loads of chances Tend to rely on mid field players for goals Must have the lowest scoring foreward players in the Champs If anyone is interested aptly Derby who millwall play tomorrow night at the Den have offered £500,000 for Gregory and today millwall have signed Tim Cahill and a left back from Norwich toffolo ? I would think if millwall play the same side at Dale they played sat i would expect Rochdale to go through esp from reading stuff about the Pitch Mind if Harris plays that side he will never be forgiven by many with this Cup draw and the possibilites I think quite a few want to go to the replay as for many its a new ground to tick off

Eh we've played Millwall in the league last season and the season before? New ground? Yeah i know but still it was a huge gap from the clubs prev meetings and i think one of em was a Evening game, i may be wrong Plus millwall dont usually do coaches and even when they do in general people dont like using them which makes transport very difficult I have never been to see millwall play there but have seen other games at the spot I may go to this one
