Phuket? Only ever stayed there for 2 nights in a quite exquisite hotel . Prefer koh lanta, koh ngai and Kaoh lak tbh, but you've probably never heard of them and would prefer the sleaze of pattaya and Phuket, each to their own

I prefer the culture and history of Rome actually. I profess my apologies for never having heard of some obscure Thai islands where what you get up to is anybody's guess.

Yes, agree, although it's money we won't have budgeted for.

No doubt you are right on that point. Probably the biggest potential sell on in our history though.

You Gigglers are surely more used to Koh Kaine, Koh Kodamol or Koh Dean.

West Ham don't have a game now till after the window closes! Brentford play Chelsea Saturday and Aston Villa on Transfer deadline night! There's no way Brentford will want to be doing any business on the night they play Villa. It just seems a bit of a test of wills now - Brentford are hoping West Ham will relent and pay the extra they want and obviously West Ham are hoping Brentford will crumble and lower their price. Certainly an interesting week coming up.

Looks like Snodgrass is going to Burnley. I hope Brentford stand firm on their valuation and Scotty starts banging them in for them - if not in January he'll go in the summer

Looks dead in the water for now

Needs to have a decent end of the season to encourage a further move in the Summer.

Must be difficult to keep your focus with the unrelenting circus going on around you.

Lets hope he stays fit and keeps up his form.

Hogan has just wasted a month of his football career too - which must be hugely frustrating with all the time he's missed through injury. Brentford have lost 2 league games he hasn't featured in also. If he's not gone by Saturday he has to start playing again - also a high profile game like Chelsea away can only help - if he performs well what better way to advertise his worth.

SSN are reporting that Payet has now agreed terms with his new club and the deal is 'virtually done'

If that was the sticking point, we should see some movement soon.

Although just to confuse things more : on Sky's Transfer whispers Hogan is 2 and Payet 8? Which is a bit strange if one move rely's on the other! On the other hand it could be all made up bullshit!

Sky have been contradicting themselves quite a bit in the past few days.

Their updates seem to take it in turns to suggest that either:
a) Hogan's move is being delayed because of Payet.
b) Brentford are holding out for £15m.
c) It's a done deal.

It's almost as if they don't really know what's going on behind the scenes.

He's agreed personal terms for a while now - the sticking point is West Ham wanting £30 for him. Which I suppose is a bit hypocritical with them refusing to pay what Brentford want for Hogan!

The latest from Brentford boss Dean Smith.

HOGAN VALUATION NOT MET

Brentford boss Dean Smith has been talking to the media this lunchtime and has been discussing the future of striker Scott Hogan.

He says Hogan, who is wanted by West Ham, is available for selection in the FA Cup clash with Chelsea this weekend, and adds: "We have had offers from different clubs for Scott but all of them haven’t met the valuation.

"We keep our business strictly private and we will say no to people if we don’t think the value has been met. Then it is up to them to come up with a deal that does meet ours."

Smith has also confirmed the club are in negotiations to sign Florian Jozefzoon from PSV.

Rumour as it the WHU have out bid Burnley and Middlesbrough to sign Snodgrass...
This may put an end to the Hogan signing for WHU.

My all time favourite Dale player Mr Lyndon Symmonds

Hammers in for Hogan on 16:59 - Jan 27 with 2106 viewsColDale

With all the Payet stuff, I think there's a bit of pressure for WHU not to be seen as a soft touch in the transfer market right now. Ordinarily they'd have paid the £15m without a second's thought but if they start giving out signals that they just dance to everyone else's tune, they'll become a soft touch.

If the worst comes to the worst, and Hogan stays at Brentford, then we've not lost anything. Was just going to be bonus money rather than cash we were banking on, but I still expect a deal to go through in the next few days.

You've got a point, Snodgrass and Hogan are almost identical players.
