Here we are on the Eve of another Transfer window and the player that's been mentioned at every window since he left gets another mention, fellas just club together between you and get a statue made of him and have it placed in the Havester;s car park and you can all kneel by it and worship him before every game.

Nah no statue just pretend there's one and it's playing hide and seek.

Well, he was better than any CM we've signed since. Easily. But he won't be coming back.

It always baffles me the stick De Guzman gets on here. He was a cracking player for us. Yes maybe not the most physical of players, but did a great job for the system we were playing in. I was gutted when we didn't take him permanently.

If we weren't playing hoofball currently I'd have him back in a heartbeat.

Played a big part in making Laudrup's system work by rapidly transitioning defence to attack, leading to the most successful period in the entire history of the club. Either scored or directly assisted 15+ goals in both of his seasons here from central midfield, not even attacking.

Kept Huw's favourite Ki out of the team so obviously he had to go. I guess quite a few Swans fans are just as good at judging players as Huwbert is.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Would fit the Swansea team 2013 perfect.

Because of Swanseas change of style..

Would not fit Swansea team 2016 at all.

Talented, coward, bottler. Nowhere near as good as he and some Swans fans think he is.

He'd fit in well in the current squad.

Tut tut tut.

Funny how the sides he was in were so much better than this one. Great player for us.

Not sure we need players to fit into the style, we need players who could improve the style. If de Guzman is half the player he was, I'd still pick him ahead of Cork & Fer and he'd still get more assists and more goals than both put together.

Half a De Guzman would be sh!t in the PL imho.

Anyone who thinks D Guz wouldn't improve out midfield right now needs a health check.

A quality player who was central to us playing arguably our best football ever.

Haven't had a genuine non set piece, outside the box goal threat since captain pointy left. Big problem for our corners right now as we have no variety due to our only danger man taking the things

Oh I don't know. The pigeons on the roof of the south stand felt pretty threatened by Tayl's 'shot' on Saturday.

Captain pointy had his place, as does Fer. Unfortunately we seem to be getting progressively weaker in that position. JdG>JJS>Fer
