Based on yesterdays selections, especially Cork playing 90 mins guessing not playing the diamond, and also Eder not been thrown on :-

Fab
Rangel
Ash
Federico
Tayls
Leon
Ki
Sigi
Ayew
Routs
Eder

Or do you think Curt will throw a curve ball and play Rang infront of Naughton (as also missing yesterday) and play Ayew up top instead of Eder?

Note - Not my choosen team mind!! :)

Can't see Curt playing Eder at any stage.

I'd go with your line up except the front three would be Barrow, Ayew, Routs.

Gomis on the bench.

Shelvey picking up litter in the car park.

Like Barrow off the bench as can change a game, but agree better option than Eder or Rang as RW.

When you look at the team though it smacks of where are the goals coming from??

This has got to be it! Barrow has to start considering Curtis said he deserves one & didn't start in the cup. It shows how desperate we are for a striker though!

And a ball winning midfielder, Ki can't do it, in fact l'd play Cork in front of Leon before Ki to combat Cattermoll.

Grimes and Tabanuo on the bench after ydays showing? neither should be anywhere near the 1st team at this stage.

Who else would you suggest??
Shelvey? Looks like he's off.
King? Fulton? Kingsley? All untested at this level.
Swap tabanou for naughton because I forgot him.

Edit: Recall Fulton getting a game against Sunderland last season, didn't look too bad.

Despite being shit all season Ki has a potential goal in him and I have faith in Leon to get the job done defensively.

That's my reasoning.

Cant understand why anyone would pick Jeff after yesterday??

Made JJS look like a workhorse in comparison. The word Lazy doesn't do the bloke justice.

Gomis has to start, he's our best option and to be fair..... He took his goal well against Oxford

Well Josh Sheehan is every bit as good as Grimes, Tabanuo needs to get his fitness and weight issues sorted before he gets anywhere near the 1st team again, put young Kingsley on the bench, and why not Fulton he's done ok the times he has played, he's a big lad and strong.
I've been saying for ages that we need a ball winner in the CM position, we haven't got one, except maybe Cork, please, please please nobody mention the love of lots people lives JDG he couldn't win a ball if his arse depended on it.

Sunderland will be out to bully us so need some strong characters in the team.
Could get messy if Sam uses his usual tactics

Surprised Fulton got loaned out this season thought he was decent in the games I'd seen of him. We thought we had a wealth of pl quality cm options at the start of the season though.
Reports that we've bid 3.7 million for Nigel De Jong.. Fits the bill of ball winning midfielder.
Would you be happy with that? I think I would be.
De Guzman isn't much worth in a tackle no, but thrived for us in that deep lying playmaker role. Moves the ball on so quickly and affectively. One thing I wish ki would do more is move the ball a bit quicker when the movements there.

Yep, just checked him out and I thought he was about 34, but he's 31, he's got to be an asset with all his experience, its a yes from me, he is prone to the odd red card though, but that's par for the course with a ball winning midfielder.

Siggy needs to get his shooting boots back on fast. Our season could depend on it.

The orthodox are always orthodox, regardless of the orthodoxy.
