I'll start with the baton: horror
Mr Friedkin you crazy man. Saw in the cinema in my 20s for the first time, having read the book and knowing the head turners (sorry) and it still gave me the willies.

Hey mate, for a scare then The Mist and Feast are pretty good. Monsters isn't scary but when you consider the guy did it on a miniscule budget and did all the effects on his home computer it is amazingly impressive (it doesn't show).
Most of the rest are comedy horrors but good ones. Black Sheep is genius.
