i agree with this top four, except maybe Stoke top.
Im terrified for us tho. The first five matches could see us only getting one point in the worst case.
If they would back Potter and get some good signings now, we have a chance, but if they dont (and i dont expect them to) the flops from last year might just crumble.
If we do well in the first five matches - playoff place. If its bad - we could be looking down all season.
the yanks are keeping J and D in to keep the heat off them. They have the money but they are only interested in their US teams - Rooney to DC United and a brand new stadium for the worst team in the MLS.
Jenkins cant be moved because he knows where the bodies are buried. He wont move himself because he's getting too rich and fat off the club. And it suits the yanks on all fronts because we only moan about him and they stay out of the flack themselves. I dont see anything for this season in terms of real investment and Potter's hands will be tied.
will Potter be able to attract good champ players on a budget? He wont be given much money and he doesnt have the reputation really (yet - fingers crossed) and Jenkins definitley wont attract anyone good at the right price, all other clubs and agents know he is an idiot.
We will need loan signings too. And I hope im wrong, but Potter might only be able to get in players from the Swedish league. Not the good ones who play in other european leagues, but the ones that have been left behind. I dont think Swedish league is anywhere near the level of the Championship.
Huw has lined his pockets and the yanks only care about their american clubs. asset stripping when they could be giving Potter money from the parachute payment now.
Agree hundred percent. Really worried there wont be time to get players in we need and we will be hanging on at christmas. Mid table would be good i think. I cant see Huw raising himself and the yanks are more interested in the Washington club. It will be a slog for Potter.
