🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Wales v Türkiye 🇹🇷 : Nations League 1/6
at 09:28 7 Sep 2024

Nobody is being hounded. I am not a native Welsh speaker myself. I explained what S4C was set up for and find it arrogant to suggest their commentary should be in English which would breach its basic principle of being a Welsh language channel and to encourage more people to learn some Welsh.

You don’t have to be a Welsh speaker to be Welsh of course not. Now that would be a stupid argument to make but it’s no hardship to watch a Wales game with Welsh commentary particularly when the alternative is it might not be broadcast at all.

S4C was created to support and develop the Welsh language. To have commentary in English would rather undermine its purpose. Surely even you can see that. They paid for the rights to show the games. Without it you mightn't have seen it at all. Maybe try learning some Welsh and educating yourself?

Agreed. Not a priority at present. Much more pressing concerns

Fair play to Benny. He is a good guy even though he supports the wrong team. I would buy him a pint if I met him. Maybe I have as I live in Cardiff these days!

Abdullai is the player we needed in the middle. Hopefully we can get him fit soon.

Abdullai when fit can be the midfield dynamo. That is his natural position.

Looks like Brazilian right winger coming in for around £1m! Is he our first ever Brazilian player assuming he signs?

Money was spent in the summer but blown on very poor players. Who is responsible for that?

Agree. I thought it was his best game for Wales. Gave us a great outlet and won everything sent up to him. Allowed others to play.
Also agree about young James in midfield. He was excellent but so were the entire team.
Great atmosphere at the ground too.

Swansea City linked to more defenders

As I said second choice, behind Enda Stevens. Played 66 minutes in the championship so far this season. Stoke are having a laugh asking that amount.

£3m they want for their reserve left back! Good bye Stoke.

A selling club without real ambition

Of those only two were top quality and both wanted away. Ntcham and Piroe. What was the club to do?

I am far more optimistic and realistic than many miserable buggers on here.

I was at the game. He doesn't look like he is yet up to speed and will take a few games to get used to the players and the Championship.
It was good to see players last night starting to look to play the ball forward quickly and into feet. Cullen had a very good game and was getting behind the defence well, and had a lovely contribution to the first goal.
I also liked Abdullai who while playing out of position and on his weaker side, did a very decent job indeed.
It was worth travelling down from Cardiff last night just to see Ginelly's goal. He looks like being a fan's favourite already.
