We went to the Alexandra last time I was up 5 years ago. Doesn't feel that long ago! They didn't seem to mind us. Good pub.

Genius Eze inevitably wraps return narrative – Report
at 11:39 20 Sep 2024

Did anybody else notice that piece of skill by Eze mid way through the second half? He was running with the ball in our half and had a player available wider and further forward. Instead of doing a conventional through ball he did a side-heel flick thing without breaking stride, the pass was inch perfect and he just continued his run forward. A proper showman.

Agree with all those mentioned so far. Love DaveB’s youtube channel. Interesting that nobody has mentioned the official website…

Not strictly a QPR website but one I use quite a lot for looking up our old players is this one. Although it can be a bit buggy with all the ads etc, it’s very useful for all those pun threads that we all love

Utterly Sick of It
at 16:54 18 Sep 2024

As you allude to in your OP I don’t think this is just about last night. We’ve seen them field weakened sides for years and we have the worst record in the 3rd round of the FA cup of any club ever i believe. Our record in the league cup in the last 35 years isn’t much better either. Then we often follow it up by playing a crap league game, so what’s the point.

If you look at yesterday’s selection and performance in isolation it wasn’t bad at all but because of what’s happened in the past we’re more sensitive and critical and it’s completely understandable.

I thought he showed signs of improvement in his overall play, movement and fitness yesterday but it’s difficult to judge at this stage. 5/10.

*Edit. Which reminds me no player ratings this week? Also I didn’t notice any ‘Pics from yesterday’ from Sheffield Weds on Saturday. Can’t find the staff these days ;)

Cook was excellent. Varane and Madsen in midfield showed real promise. We lacked/lack physicality going forward and I suspect that will become a theme this season. Frey and Dunne aside.

*Edit I forgot to mention I thought Joe Walsh played really well too.

It says on the website that, “Unfortunately, latest regulations do not permit clubs to stream EFL Cup fixtures live on their channels”

Transfer rumours 2024
at 16:19 5 Sep 2024

I guess if that wasn’t the rule you would have loads of free transfers outside the transfer window. Clubs would just ‘mutually’ terminate a players contract allowing another club to sign them.

A duck fits the bill for me. They can fly as high as 21000 feet at speeds of up to 60mph, dive as deep as 240 feet, swim without getting wet, go to the pub, walk, dance, lay eggs, they can see things near and far simultaneously, they have abstract thoughts and best of all they can poo on Chelsea fans.
