Economic Fallout of all this
at 07:45 13 May 2020

Whilst many people are enjoying being at home, on 80% (from the Govt) and probably expect this to continue as they push back against returning to work

the economic fallout of this is starting to materialise.

5% drop in GDP in 1st quarter (up to Mar 20). That is the biggest drop since Oct 2008.
Look at the state of everything there after.

all sorts of economic commentators are saying that 5% is a drop in the ocean compared to what is expected in the next quarter. Essentially, 20% drop in GDP will be viewed as a Massive result!!!

Ultimately, we will all have to pay for this!

testing testing testing

I have been tested (key worker).
Felt like death last week, phoned up, tested that afternoon and received the results around 48 hours(ish) later.

I will add, there was so many testing slots available at the test site I went to and all others near me. When asking the lady who conducted my test, she was extremely puzzled as given the demand for tests by the media, the capacity is simply not being used in our area anyway. Not even close apparently.

“Stay Alert”
at 20:34 12 May 2020

2 weeks ago, Sturgeon (and co) were demanded to know an idea of exit from lockdown.
now they have one, it is all too soon and too confusing!!!

like anyone believes them

Look at this headline doing the rounds at the moment - Nicola Sturgeon defends 'appropriate' decision not to tell Scots about Covid-19 outbreak in Edinburgh

How on earth is she getting away with that (the outbreak was in Feb), given the level of scrutiny at play?

Tough read
at 18:21 24 Apr 2020

Not too long ago, Sadoldgit embarrassed himself by damning Ched Evans and those who questioned his conviction as 'rape apologists'.

That continued, despite Ched being cleared - no smoke without fire apparently

of course, Sadoldgit completely changed tac with regards to a convicted (and still convicted) wife beater, Geoffrey Boycott. Sadoldgit champions his innocence.

Sadoldgit is a very unstable individual, who is very much on the wrong side of most big-ticket arguments.

It's attitudes like this that send society back 30 years!

That band ruin any chance of a decent atmosphere at England Games.
How they are allowed to continue after all these years is insane

Listening to both Talksport and 5Live before, during and now.
Liverpool fans believe the CL is in the bag.
Also, one phoned in said it is not fair how city can spend like they did last summer.
Along with City should have a transfer ban due to financial doping.

how do these comments consistently get aired without being challenged?

Would you welcome a gambling firm as short sponsor?

But football does not want to take the moral high ground though.
Anyway, why does turning ones nose up at gambling firms = to taking the moral high ground?

Cortese demanded high standards, those who could not keep up were let go / push out.
I wonder if Ross (forget his surname) would have survived if Cortese was still in charge?

Assuming we will stay up, we certainly need a forward with real pace. We are very pedestrian-like at the moment

I have veered away from Saintsweb and funnily enough, I know the poster you mention above through a mutual friend. Said mutual friend happens to know the owner of Saintsweb. We meet now and then at the local in Marchwood, which used to be an excellent source if info regarding the club. Not to much now a certain few personalities have moved on.

Small world.

thanks for the advice, there is not much different from a Pro compared to a 21inch iMac.

One hand you have the portable convenience - or the greater power in the iMac
Had a look at a windows machine, both Laptops and all-in-one devices and when you compare what is in the chassis, Apple does offer value

I regularly see one of those higher up at Saints in the pub. His view is that Saints were in nothing like the trouble that is often claimed. I am sure those with an axe to grind will say otherwise. Each to their own.
