Morning Sir Fact is,we don’t know. It’s sport,it’s exciting,it adds a little light or levity to sometimes life’s more prosaic moments . Wales could surprise big time; they could be smashed asunder if they don’t do the basics . Scotland will be the danger team to the big guns. England ,unless they wise up,will be laughingly humiliated . I hope so as I hate the RFU with a passion .
As regards SA ,it would be nice to see black and white Bokke standing next to each other . Watching the number of White Bokke at Twickers makes you wonder if any are left in SA . I only just learned they changed the name of Port Elizabeth to Gquberha, though I bet cruise holidays will still refer to it as it’s former name or P.E. .
You may well be right about Scotland. I feel sorry for them they’ve got the draw they have when they’ve got a team capable of making an impact tor the first time I can remember.
I’m really looking forward to a tournament I can get behind, but am not overly invested in. I enjoy the 6 nations for the same reason.
The way the pools are set out, I don’t think there’s actually much room for us to surprise. We’ll be expected to qualify. Beating England or Argentina would probably be a slight surprise but certainly plausible.
Whoever is left after that should beat us with ease.
I’ll leave the apartheid chat for another time

Cracking reply Right attitude People really can have a decent spat with me As regards Sputh Africa and Apartheid, it's a pet subject of mine I can go back many years and still see the smug snarling smiling faces of the likes of Davie de Villiers and Avril Malan And yes I really was at St Helens by the old scoreboard for the Battle of Swansea with them
Anyone see the sneaky elbow from Dan Cole into the head of the Fijian player on the floor, typical cowardly act from him again, he's got loads of previous for similar things, he's always been a thug!

I can't believe how far England have regressed from the last World Cup. They have the most pro players to pick from. Well never mind.

Fiji is now a very important game. It's going to be tough.
A small country of 900,000. Samoa 200,000. Fair play to them.
Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

I haven't watched any games so going purely by recent results it has to be South Africa to win. I do accept though, the All Blacks usually come good in a WC. and are always a threat.
People say the NZ win puts context to the boks hammering Wales but NZ had a man sent off early. The only real advantage the Boks had v us was Dyers yellow card on 33.

Looking forward to it ,Cat.
I don't get excited by rugby any more. It's all crash ball and kicking. I'll try watching but probably never see a ful game cos I'll get bored with it.

Looking forward to the opener on Friday. Allez Les Bleus but watch those pesky All Blacks...never write them off. They will be dangerous.
Looking forward to it immensely Toggy
Wales could get splattered early . If Lake plays and screws up line outs it’s a given we will pay
Wales will play it tight, boring probably picking H/P with an eye for long penalties and I don’t blame them Scotland v Bokke will be a pub filler. An absolute cracker
If nothing else,a break from the overwhelming bleakness right now of the Swans
