Wonderful to finally own our two strikers. Warburton's attacking football is primed to make forwards look good, and while Wells' and Hugill's respective parent clubs reaped the financial reward from their from good form, I'd love if we could do the same with Bonne and Dykes after watching them smash the goals in for a couple of years.

I'm just relieved to see us seeming in a position to at least buy somebody. Seemed at one stage last year that we were in much more dire straits than we are at present and that's with this bulls!t virus stuff going on.

Great news felt after Saturday that Dykes needed support. Hope the lad as a bit of pace as apart from BOS we are lacking forward pace Like above I'm wondering in these times how we are affording this. I would have thought even a 700k plus wages we would struggle to make it Perhaps there is little chance of Manning or Lumley getting back in the fold

Caulker I think I famously described as a perfect signing that even QPR couldn't mess up. I liked him, Mutch and Hoilett. So that says a lot for my judgement.
George Thomas my favourite so far this summer, though I'd be genuinely excited by Willock if there's any truth in that.

I've not watched a Charlton game apart from our home game with them last season plus if he's been involved in a goal thats been on Quest etc..
I've no idea about him being a good signing or not, just put my faith in the powers that be at QPR
There is a clip of Bonne's 25 goals for Orient on YouTube. Predator-like rather than particularly creative - but quick and with a shot on him - hope this helps. Suspect he's more Derek Hales than Messi - only not the same size as Hales.

Bonne and Dykes total wage is more than likely less than we were paying Hugill last season. What we were paying Wells goes towards the transfer fees.
But also, the transfer fee Charlton paid for Bonne was likely less than the loan fee we paid for Hugill at about the same time... This is the next step in our evolution, finding the Bonnes, Adomahs, Matt Phillips of this world that one move earlier, when they're at Orient, Barnet, Wycombe respectively.

So much about goal scoring is about being in the right position at the right time. Which was why Hughill was a decent forward despite missing a lot and Washington wasn't as he was never in the right place, even though he probably had an ok conversion rate for goals per shot (that was my impression anyway). I like the fact that this guy is often around the penalty spot in these chances, which is where through balls and crosses often end up and he seems to have the strength to out-muscle the defenders.
Decent signing in prospect (even though I admit we haven't seen him in action yet). It also takes some of the pressure off Dykes, Chair and BOS to be the main goal scorers.
