Wont let on but everybody is going to be underwhelmed. As for Mitrovic one of the biggest mistakes we will ever make is not signing him.

Honestly, you don't half talk some guff! his sights were set higher than us even if he was allowed to leave, you deserve the ridicule you get on here

You give it out, you take it back it`s all part of the game

Well it looks like hes off to Newcastle, so not sure about that one

If this is true I hope we're done. GM will have nothing to complain about if things don't work out this coming season. The squad is looking fantastic.

Prior to his injury, Eder was a target for Arsenal & Spurs and has a decent goalscoring record as well as physical presence.

From reports online he may well prove to be another shrewd signing.

My understanding is that our doubts over Mitrovic have nothing to do with his ability on the field?

I was really enthusiastic about Eder until I read that and thought ... 'Prior to his injury, Michu was a target for Arsenal & Napoli and has a decent goalscoring record as well as physical presence.'

After signing the likes of Vasquez, Schecter, Fallon, Mutton, Awaankah etc and paying them. Not expanding the stadium a couple of seasons ago.
Sorting out the commercial dept when we first got promoted and many other examples of "silliness" you reckon that NOT signing someone is one of the biggest mistakes we've ever made.
Have a day off mate.

Edit.
Personally I'm excited about this signing,as I am and have been with all signings we've ever made.
It's when they turn out like the previous players I've mentioned, I get underwhelmed.
IMHO, this lad can push for a start, not just be a last 20 mins or desperation substitution. In fact, I think Kris can push Lukasz as well.
Increased competition should mean the players we already have, have to work harder. Win win for all.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion. If we sign him we will soon know whether their opinion is worth anything.

That's the point though isn't it. Soon? No, eventually is more like it , until he's had a fair crack. Those who expect results 'soon' are the ones who will be on his back after half a dozen 10 minute substitute appearances.

You know full well they'll be on his back if he doesn't score a hattrick in his 1st debut from the bench.
They've already started and I've not even seen the lad holding up the shirt yet.

When we sign a player, especially one who hasn't played league football in this country before, it takes them time to adapt to a lot of things. Therefore I don't expect them to be an instant success i give a player time. However a player will always leave a first impression.

I remember michu scoring against Blackpool pre-season and my first impression was a natural goalscorer. I remember amankwah and thinking wtf. With Both Wilf and Gomis first impressions were they could be good. Wilf certainly had something about him, my concern with gomis was whether he fancied the rough stuff.

The soon in my post related to seeing him play rather than jumping on his back if he doesn't slot in seamlessly and play brilliantly from the off. However I could have phrased it better and agree with you.

Time is what a player needs to settle in and time is exactly what a lot of fans are not prepared to give them.

If we did bring this guy in, id be suprised if there wasnt a 'third' striker brought in who is a bit different - young prospect maybe - as Gomis and Eder are similar sorts of players

We had a hard enough time keeping two strikers happy last season. Signing a third would be crazy.

We need a third striker unless ayew covers that role. Generally it will be a Vasquez schecter or a youngster

Have to say I'm quite excited by this signing, although my opinion is only based on the videos, his goalscoring record at Braga and obviously the most important and scientifically accurate bit.. his FIFA 15 ratings.

In all seriousness though, adding him to our current squad definitely strengthens it. He looks a clear improvement over Oliviera (who I wouldn't complain if we got too) and Marvin Emnes.

The signings have been fantastic, now to hope we manage to hold onto our players.

Read in context you are correct. Enoch was a brilliant intellectual (self taught Urdu & Welsh) but also, by that time & having been overlooked for almost very job he coveted (including Viceroy of India to which he believed he was ideally suited - effectively ruler of a content), a very frustrated and bitter political figure.
The one thing he did get right in his later years was to recognise Nigel Farage for the snivelling crawler that he is and gave him short shrift.

It amazes me that people keep missing this point. Same as those who think we need another specialist right-back in case Naughton gets injured and we have to rely on Rangel.

We went into last season with Bony, Gomis and Emnes as our striker options. We only signed Nelson when it was clear Wilf was off. If Eder signs, we'll go into the season with Gomis, Eder, Ayew, Emnes as options to play up front.

Presumably Gomis will be first choice, meaning Eder will be first off the bench and start cup games. Another signing would only get a look in in the event of injury or suspension. So potentially a huge waste of money, not something our club likes.

If Eder signs, we'll have more goalscoring potential than we have had in the Prem before, yet still people fret.

You know, Hobbes, some days even my lucky rocket ship underpants don't help.

I remember not too long ago having 4 strikers - Fallon, Bayo, Knight and Trundle in one squad.

Most teams seem to cope? Didn't Crystal Palace have half a dozen strikers (Murray, Chamakh, Gayle, Ameobi, Campbell & Sonogo) last season.
