QPR v Everton Betting Preview Thursday, 18th Oct 2012 23:38 by LFW Pundits Another flurry of winners for our three pundits on the weekend of the West Brom game means their tips for this week are worth more than just a passing glance. Andy’s hot streak continued prior to West Brom when he backed a goal inside the first 15 minutes at The Hawthorns, a draw double in the Swansea and Southampton games, and a Ronaldo goal at any point of Barcelona v Real Madrid. Brian, like Andy, fancied draws that weekend and pulled a double as part of a patent. The Pro also correctly called more than 2.5 goals in the West Brom game, and James Morrison to score at any time at 5/1. Stick with us kids, we know what we’re talking about this season. Andy HillmanWinners so far: NAP - Norwich vs QPR - Both teams to score @ 4/6, 24/8/12 LONGSHOT - Tottenham vs West Brom - Lay Tottenham @ 2/1, 24/8/12 NOTEBOOK - Stoke vs Arsenal, Liverpool vs Man City , draw double, 7/1, 24/07/12 QPR related Bet - Zamora to score anytime v Man City at 11/2, 30/08/12 Longshot - Tottenham vs Norwich - lay Spurs @ 1.4, 30/08/12 Notebook - Roma to beat Inter @ 3/1 30/08/12 Nap – Man Utd to win to nil v Wigan , 11/10, 13/09/12 Longshot – double as part of a Premiership Yankee at 10/1, 13/09/12 Longshot – Premier League double at 9/1, 21/09/12 NAP- Chelsea vs Stoke - Chelsea to win to nil @ 11/8, 21/09/12 Longshot – Premier League double at 4/1, 29/09/12 Europe to win the Ryder Cup at 2/1, 29/09/12 QPR related bet: Goal in the first 15 minutes v West Brom @ 9/4, 05/10/12 Notebook: Barcelona vs Real Madrid - Ronaldo to score anytime @ 13/10, 05/10/12 Longshot: Southampton v Fulham, Swansea v Reading draw double: @ 10/1, 05/10/12 Here’s hoping that the international break doesn’t mess with my betting mojo too much, as before the two week hiatus i bagged another three winners - although to be fair an early goal in the West Brom vs QPR game (and it was always going to be West Brom who scored it...) and Ronaldo to score in El Clasico were pretty much bankers. Happy that I bagged a third long-odds double in a row though... NAP - West Brom vs Man City - Both teams to score @ 4/5 We all saw last time out just how well set up West Brom are at the moment, and Man City can’t buy a clean sheet at the moment - both teams have scored in 10 of Man City’s 11 games this season, and West Brom have scored in eight of their last nine. QPR related bet - Jelavic first goal scorer @ 5/1 We will probably find out real quick whether Hughes has managed to make some sort of sense out of our fairly ramshackle defence. My thoughts? Fifth minute, Baines cross, Jelavic header, 1-0 Everton. Longshot - Goals Galore trebles and quad @ 4/1 Trebles & 8/1 Quad Deviating from my usual draws and away wins, I can see plenty of games where I can see both teams scoring: Spurs vs Chelsea, QPR vs Everton, West Brom vs Man City and Sunderland vs Newcastle. Any three pays around 4/1, and all four is 8/1. Notebook: Tranmere to win at Bournemouth @ 13/6 Tranmere, seven points clear at the top, unbeaten all season, travel to Bournemouth , 21st in the league with a single home win all season. Better than 2/1 for the win you say? Go on then... Brian PowerWinners so far: NAP - Norwich vs QPR - Both teams to score @ 4/6, 24/8/12 Nap – Tranmere to beat Colchester 21/10, 30/08/12 LONGSHOT Ian Poulter 8/1 top European points scorer at Ryder Cup, 29/09/12 LONGSHOT - Saints/Fulham 12/5 , Liverpool/Stoke 10/3 draw double 05/10/12 Previously advised: Villa to win the Capital One Cup Each Way 18/1 David Weir, Sports Personality of the Year, each way 40/1 Richard Hughes’s seven timer at Windsor on Monday was the perfect start to a horse racing week that culminates in Champions Day at Ascot. Frankel is the big draw in the champion stakes at 16.05. The rain that is coming down could cause the superstar some problems but he won his opening maiden in soft conditions and only a length behind him was Nathaniel who again takes him on. Frankel is no doubt a superstar and it would be great to see him round off his career with a win but will be too skinny a price for me (1/5 at present). If I were to have a bet the 9/1 e/w (fifth of the odds first three with Ladbrokes) on Nathaniel would be my choice. As a foot note Frankel is going to stud and at 100k a pop is guaranteed 10 million in the first year. Nice work if you can get it. NAP - Society Rock I fancy two horses at Ascot James Fanshawe's society Rock in the 2.20 and It should go close. Fame and Glory can get us off to a good start to the day. Longshot - Wigan to beat Swansea Swansea started well this season but have gone off the boil and Wigan are 11/4 to win at the Liberty and is worth a couple of quid as they seem to get results against fellow strugglers away from home. The ProWinners so far: Norwich v QPR, 11/10 Under 2.5 goals 24/08/12 West Brom v QPR, more than 2.5 goals, 4/5, 05/10/12 James Morrison to score anytime v QPR, 5/1, 05/10/12 Previously advised: Cisse to finish top QPR scorer in Premier League, 9/4 Stan James, 17/08/12 Rangers return after the international break to take on an in-form Everton side, hoping to finally put that elusive Premiership win on the board. I've given up second guessing Mark Hughes' team selection but one thing that I do expect however is Bosingwa to start and provide an intriguing battle with the superb Leighton Baines. Both love to get forward and the key to this match could be which one forces the other one to play as a full back rather than an attacking force. It is expected that Fellaini will miss out for the Toffees and this is a massive plus for QPR. It may surprise you, but after starting the season with three straight wins, Everton have actually only won two of their last six games and those came against the sinking stone that is Swansea and a Southampton team who have struggled to adjust to the new found heights of the Premiership. On their last outing, Everton scraped a draw at Wigan and really should have been dead and buried at half-time. But for QPR to win this, they will need to fire out of the blocks and defend much better than they have so far. The problem is, when you look at the defence, you struggle to believe QPR can keep a clean sheet, especially against the movement and pace they will face on Sunday of Jelavic and Miralles. I’ve attended some cracking games in the past between these two, and I can see this being another end to end battle. The 8/11 both teams to score interests me but the price is not quite big enough for me to get involved and with Fellaini out, this match looks very even on paper. . So my recommended bet is the draw at Pinnacle Sports at 13/5. Elsewhere my bet of the weekend comes in League One. Walsall put in one of the most one-sided performances for a long time last weekend yet somehow contrived to lose 1-0 at Shrewsbury due to an amazing performance by Chris Weale in the Shrews goal. Crewe have lost influential attacker AJ Leitch Smith and have looked a shadow of the side they were last season since gaining promotion. A performance of a similar magnitude by Walsall this week should see them take the three points at the Bescot and the 6/5 available on Betfair at present seems very tasty.
