Dale skipper Gary Jones missed out on the North West League One player of the Year award on Monday evening.

Jonah had been nominated for the award following a series of fine displays for Dale during the 2010-11 season (from which the nominations were made), in which he scored nineteen goals in a record breaking season for the club.

However, it wasn't enough to see him named as the North West League One Player of the Season at an awards ceremony which took place at Old Trafford on Monday evening.

That award went to Tranmere's Enoch Showumni who scored eleven goals for the Scouse side, helping Rovers achieve a finish of 18th place.
