Seems to me,Andy Coleman is one of those stubborn people who just flatly refuses to see and listen to what’s happening in front of them, he can’t be seen to admit he’s made a mistake . What he needs to realise is time is running out with every game that passes and if he’s afraid to admit Williams needs replacing now ,he’s going to look an even bigger failure when it’s too late to save us and nobody will want to come in |

Football under Cooper was pretty dire to watch , even though we got to the Playoff final , where we were absolutely shocking.
We need a new face in , not a past manager,someone who can look at the squad with an open mind and new ideas to play a way that best suits what we have but on the front foot and tight at the back , I don’t think the squad is really that bad ,it’s just the way Williams is setting them up to play and it looks like the players have given up on him,as have the fans.anything is better than what we are being served up at the moment.
Plymouth look a different team after a change and Moyes has turned Everton around ,so it can be done,we have a new DOF ,who should be scouring the leagues home and away for the right fit
but a change needs to happen now. |

What is the point of putting balls into the box with no centre forward in there , Cullen isn’t a target man and never will be,plus a centre forward would have made they’re centre half’s work a bit , they didn’t have to break sweat today .
Most keepers will never concede a goal like Stokes 3rd in their career , some may concede one like it ,Vigaroux has conceded 2 in a couple of weeks, why was he so far out of his goal again ,it’s just so frustrating and embarrassing,the comical defending for the first 2 goals was bad enough,we’re a laughing stock

Williams should have played our strongest team on Wednesday,he didn’t,we lost and now winning this game is vital ,if he persists with 3 at the back then we have to stop the pointless slow possession stuff at the back and he has to pick O’Brien ,Franco and Cooper in the middle to give us more bite ,attacking options and ambition and not the sideways and backwards dross we had from Fulton and Peart-Harris |

Peart - Harris and Fulton starting with Franco and Cooper on the bench was diabolical,Franco covers every blade of grass and looks to go forward at every opportunity,Cooper will harry opponents and break play up ,the 2 that started are about as mobile as a concrete block and as exciting to watch as a bin lorry

What does Luke Williams see from the sidelines !!!! It was obvious Fulton and Peart -Harries were slowing the game down and holding us back with their negative sideways and backward passing,I hoped we’d seen the last of that when Grimes left !!!
A midfield of O’Brien , Franco and Cooper would have been more mobile ,aggressive and attacking and positive than what we started with tonight
If players needed a rest after Sunday,then make changes away on Saturday at Stoke , not in a home game after a great away win ,where you need to select your strongest team and try and get another 3 points and give the club , supporters and the whole city a lift !!!!!.
Once again we saw uninspiring and curious substitutions from a manager who really does look clueless, ok , he didn’t tell Darling to gift Wednesday the goal but we were poor 2nd half and the substitutions just made us weaker,then when we are chasing the game and putting balls into the box hoping for a goal ,there’s no centre forward on the field to get on the end of them because he always gets hooked after an hour !! |

I was right behind the goal when that ball came to Eom , the ball was crossed with pace on it and Eom was racing in to get on the end of it, he had to stretch to make contact and caught it really well,probably too well ,if he’d missed kicked it,it probably would’ve gone in , but in fairness sometimes you just have to say the keeper made a good save. |

Trying to be positive after last nights debacle,which is I have to say is very hard ,if we use any money not used to sign players to replace Williams with a manager/coach who is more tactically astute ,we still have a chance of avoiding relegation.Williams has lost the players that’s pretty obvious
Bringing O’Brian in with his championship experience and Having Cooper,Ginelly and Parker back will help but we have to get the right man in to steady the ship and try and get the confidence back.

You are so right,switching to 3.or was it 5 ? At the back yesterday was mind boggling,the players looked just as confused with it not knowing what they were supposed to do,and as a team we’ve never looked comfortable with that system whenever it’s been tried ,we’ve been far more effective when we’ve played 4 at the back with fullbacks and wingers not these ‘wingbacks’ we have now that can’t defend and seem to squeeze our wingers making them less effective |

At least one midfielder should be a priority , Cooper looked ok and covered more ground and challenged more than Fulton when he came on but we need a 10 who can make things happen to play with him and Franco as Cullen isn’t the answer ,still think we need a solid right back as well.
Vipotnik should have played yesterday,no point putting balls in from out wide without a centre forward in there,as we’ve seen,Cullen isn’t a lone striker
I think the main priority though is to change the manager,and soon |

Well we tried 3 at the back today then Luke ,guess what ,surprise surprise we were even more shapeless than your other formations …..
Cullen probably had his worst game for us today ,should have gone off instead of Bianchini ,if you play a back 3 you need a centre forward to play to …just like Coventry did with Simms
It was absolutely dire today ,even though we had chances,you knew we weren’t going to score and the endless,ponderous sideways and back passing,even when 2-0 down with 10 minutes to go just highlighted the complete lack of imagination our team now has , Vigaroux getting lobbed when he was 35 yards up the pitch summed it up really well , we’re becoming a joke and We are on a fireman’s pole to relegation with this clown in charge
I for the first time I am actually considering not renewing my season ticket, get no enjoyment watching any more of this rubbish, everyone around the ground can see How much we have regressed under this coach,especially since Christmas,why doesn’t the chairman act and get shot of him
We need a new manager in ASAP just to stop the slide ,because teams below us are showing more fights , and getting more points |

I think there’s a bit more to it than that,both Tymon and Key are far too light in the tackle and get out muscled too easily even by small players and give the ball away time and again , their positioning and reading of the situation is awful they , get on the wrong side of opponents when defending and are by-passed with ease ,almost every game .when they get forward they can put dangerous crosses in to be fair but if the ball is lost they don’t bust a gut to sprint back into defence
How many goals do we concede when balls are dropped into the gaps left by them being caught up the field and crossed into advancing players
Key would be probably be better as a winger ,Tymon has regressed so much it’s incredible , both seem to lack basic fullback defending skills ,,,,,or is it Williams doing , coaching it out of them ??
Maybe a different manager/coach could improve them maybe time will tell

Tymon and Key have to be the worst defenders in any of the leagues ,Tymon at fault for the first 2 ,Key for the 3rd ,both are useless in their positioning getting caught out time and again,every time someone runs at them you know a cross will come in as they just seem powerless or just don’t have the ability to get a block or tackle in, add to that they are both very light in the tackle and are pushed off the ball far too often and easily,usually costing us , when they go forward and loose the ball they trot back instead of busting a gut for the team to atone for their mistakes.
Have to add Grimes is killing us being so deep and so slow with the ball ,when he has pushed forward he looks a different player and has started moves that have created chances,albeit easily defended ones
I turned it off after the 3rd as I couldn’t watch any more,I feel so sorry for the Jacks who made the effort to travel such a long way for an early kickoff to witness another unacceptable performance ,especially after Hull,Portsmouth,Southampton and them up the road.
Williams is responsible for these awful performances (although some of the players need a long hard look at themselves also)and has to be replaced,his position is surely untenable now ,we need a new coach /manager brought in that can sort this mess out and quickly ,because make no mistake,we are on a downward spiral heading towards a relegation battle if we don’t make a change , especially when some teams below us have turned their season around and are now winning games . |
