For success you need the right environment...whichbis what we had 20 years ago. Now look where we are.... As I have said earlier Williams is now a dead man walking as the fanbase wants him out... I'm not so sure he has lost the players... in the game against Sheff Utd the players didn't look that way and yesterday individual errors led to at least 3 goals.
But look at where we are and through today various threads have revealed even more of things goings-on behind the scenes.
It seems we are.looking to cut costs this is being seen in issues in the commercial areas,we have sent 10 acadamy players out on.loan to reduce salary burden and free up capacity for incomings.
Much has been talked about the players inconsistencies and looking like they can't be bothered. Is that because they feel they are not being paid their worth? We have been told we are now pitching salaries at lg1 levels...so maybe some players feel undervalued...how many of us have been in a situation where we have felt we were worth more than we were paid.
It seems Coleman is trying to do all he can to stabilise our finances which inn a normal business is what a good CEO would do except its a little different in foot all and especially harder at Championship level.
I get the calls to change manager but I'm not convinced it will be the fix those calling for Williams' head will be...anyone coming in will not be entering a condusive environment.
As I said earlier Keith has documented this in several good articles over the past weeks.
It's all Coleman thinking he is doing the right thing in his getting the losses stemmed and also cutting costs by wearing many hats.
Trouble is there are only so many hours in a day He doesn't have sufficient knowledge of British football Maybe it's time he turned to fellow director Martyn Morgan for some advice? Or support in choosing a DoF or manager. Colemans time maybe up soo too as perhaps these investors were happy to leave him in charge. I suspect he persuaded them to buy out Steve and Jase by telling them how those two were holding the club back.
The problem is now such a mess left from the past seasons of mismanagement we have little wriggle room. I'm sure if things go further south the likes of Morse will hopefully look to appoint their own "sound" man rather than walk away
Keith has written several good articles about our finances relating to the P and S or FFP rules.
Effectively we are walking a precipice on this
As I see it Coleman has been working hard to reduce then risks of us being penalised by cost cutting. We have heard about how our players are mostly on lg1 wages or thereabouts and now Coleman is trying to do lots of jobs himself. I have seen this happen in businesses over the the years where the man at the top decides to wear lots if hats to save money the problem is they don't always have the right head to fit all the hats needed and eventually things spiral out of control as it's impossible to keep all the plates spinning and know all thwrenis to know .
He is a dead man walking....he has to go if he hasn't lost the players he has the fan base united against him.
But changing the manager will only paper over the cracks things are now very awry at the club
Here we are looking for our third manager in 18 months. Nobody at a senior level at the club with any strategic knowledge of British football
A wafer thin squad earning league 1 salaries .
Another January window where this is little activity and unable to get identified targets over the line.
We may appoint an interim or a permanent manger but I'm sure unless there is a major overhaul we will find ourselves in a similar position in a years time.
There was a difference in that Jenkins knew Martinez. They had had previous conversations about football. It was still a risk given Martinez 's inexperience but dont forget Martinez knew the players he would be dealing too.
Actually I agree we need to do something. Personally I don't think it's down to Williams....because if it were why weren't we so disastrous from the seasons start.
The problem is this current situation cannot continue otherwise we might see ourselves dragged into the relegation battle.
We had Yates, Kukharevych, sent out on loan, Vip noe of these is scoring or have scored at a great rate what makes anyone think Wilson will do differently. Maybe it's how we play? Apparently out head coach is gash so if all these other stickers have failed how is anyone so sure Wilson wo be different?
too many sofa fans WR...games available to watch from thr comfort of your front room. I also know of several Ospreys fans disillusioned with the way pro rugby is.....silly kick off times ..hanging about waiting for the tmo to make decisions.....coupled with people's economics. Also and it's my personal opinion "kids" today have a different interest they would rather be on Xbox,PS whatever PC or tablet as a result there are fewer young fans coming through
