Perhaps Derby will take leave of their senses, giving us 5 million in compo for williams allowing us to buy OāBrien on a permanent deal and get a good manager in from abroad
I suppose we might get lucky and Fulton will be subject to another Ā£4 million bud from Coventry. Love to see him Franco and Widdell as our midfield 3 next season - play offs guaranteed if we do. The big question though is how would the liberty crowd be able to cope with exciting football after so many years without it?
We, along with Sheffield United and Burnley are the only sides to win there all season. Our players testicles were massive today. Great win and a much improved cohesive performance
Imagine if we could have a midfield of Franco, OāBrien and Widell next season. A new centre half and a winger plus striker we are looking decent.
Weād have been battered if Grimes played today. We would have been turned over in possession easily . Today was a big big win and an even bigger performance. Bye bye handbrake welcom OāBrien
Weāve got a Slovenian international striker who has shown his finishing prowess (when he gets the chance) and players in the front five all capable of goals. Confidence is rock bottom all over but it looks like the addition of the Nottingham Forest youngster on loan and maybe even Jacob Wright would give us a new impetus.
Letās hope these come off and work out instead of all this negativity eh?
Every party now has career politicians- few who are ordinary men or women who have worked away from the Westminster bubble and are in touch with reality .
I think the opposite. If we were doing well and he wasnāt leaving any a good motivational captain whom led by example Iād think it harsh.
The reality is that heās been the most anonymous captain Iāve ever seen at the club with a seemingly blue eyed compliant boy complex for every manager who has taken the reins. Weāve all seen those kinds of people in our workplace- itās so unhealthy. We didnāt do well yesterday but letās hope a couple of new players can list the mood.
His wife says they wanted to stay - I theorised that it was the epitome of a comfort zone for him and that was reflected on the pitch - do just enough to get by and enjoy his semi retirement. Thankfully someone who matters has called him out for it and heās had a tantrum, thrown his toys out and left.
I predict Coventry fans will see an initial spurt of energy but after a while heāll be back to his usual. If he starts tearing up trees there weāve all been taken for a ride by him. I think the first scenario is the most likely though.
Itās obvious by that statement that you canāt. All bar one massive point - a midfielder even on loan is desperately needed. If we can get Low in it would be a massive bonus. The more people go on about a new striker the less they realise that the main problem still wouldnāt be addressed- no midfield creativity.
At least we know that it wasnāt Grimes holding Fulton back anymore.
Not many were objecting at the time or even December when they were chanting his name in the east. You were probably one of them. I certainly wasnāt!
As for Coleman he does have a love and dedication for our club but I agree he needs advice. He has started sourcing players from abroad - maybe thereās a decent coach on the continent somewhere that would fancy the challenge.
Well there was no choice. If we wanted this calibre of player this is what was needed. Leave it til summer and heās gone to a bigger club. End of story
