Indeed! "It wasn't a penalty fair enough, but from where the ref is standing it would've looked like one, so therefore should've been given" WTAF |

Think I recall Emma Hayes rather rudely turning down Wimbledon when they last were searching for a manager. Her aims are higher, whether that works out for her or not. |

Agree about the defensive midfield and the fact a better team would have offered more of a threat against this system, but to say Burton controlled anything after half time is stretching it. What they did was look like we have previously ie having decent amounts of possession and doing the sum total of rock all with it. Actually thought for the first time in a while Dale made their possession count after half time, especially moving well in wide areas and creating chances. Some positives for sure and, as others have pointed out, the effort alone will see off a chunk of our L2 opponents if replicated. |

Not posted on here for a while but just wanted to make you aware of my last 48hrs lurking activity..... Yesterday: Had my daily read of the forum, felt good about recent goings on, checked my credit card was still working and thought about my excuse to justify to the missus why Rochdale FC show on the statement following my upcoming season card purchase after a year out Today: Read this thread and put the credit card firmly back in my wallet for a while This needs sorting |

Nail on the head! I don't blame the Trust at all. I'm sure Col & Co have worked hard to come up with a good scheme for many but they are not in charge of the communication of it. The club are, and I tend to agree with posts above that the wording has likely been made deliberately ambiguous to encourage people who perhaps would ask for a refund not to bother doing so. It's disappointing! I'm a key worker with a family who's working harder than ever for well below the average UK wage. I don't just want a refund, I need it in the current times. I love football, but it's not essential and I may be thinking too much with my head here but I don't feel a moral obligation to prop the club up. I'm not a shareholder, owner or director who might gain something from the businesses success. I'm just a spectator who likes to be entertained and I've paid for 6 (edit: or 7, thanks Judd) games I didn't see. It could've been communicated better. Which also brings me on to the process of emailing the club to opt out. I've done so and made it clear in the email I wish for guidance on the process to claim a partial refund. I then received what is a god awful automatic response on the email address provided by the club. "Thank you for your email. I am now on working part-time under the Furlough arrangements. I will deal with your contact within the next few days and my emails are being looked at by someone most days, but not at weekends" I mean come on guys. It just doesn't inspire confidence. Can see this being a ball ache. If this were a holiday company or similar I had been dealing with for a refund during the pandemic I wouldn't touch them again. [Post edited 25 Jul 2020 11:30]

Read through all 7 pages so far and well aware I will never have all the facts. However, my opinion is based on the statement from the club at the point of announcing the retained list, what I can currently see with my own eyes right now and my general feelings based on past actions of the Dale board of Directors (and not just the current board). I personally will not be putting any further money into this football club having supported them for over 35 years and will be pursuing a partial refund of my season ticket for unused games last year. I am sick of our board ALWAYS taking the position of least risk financially. There is NEVER the least bit of a speculate to accumulate strategy employed. As a fan, I have a natural connection to the players & management and have no emotional connection to the ownership as I'm interested in football not business. My view even before Hendo's statement was that the released players had been treated in a shoddy manner and this just confirmed things. There were a couple of other disappointing comments within the board statement when lines in between were read, but I can't be arsed going into these. Bottom line is lockdown has taught me football is not number one and my family's finances need looking after too, which has led to my feeling this way. I may have felt differently had I received a chink of any ambitious light from the club statement. I didn't. I love this club but I no longer have the motivation or funds to blindly support it no matter what. |

If it's who I believe you are referring to, he signed for Hereford in October 2019 and made a few appearances before his subsequent move in February 2020 |

That's disgraceful. First sentence of that letter is ridiculous. I'm pretty sure government advice is to stick by your employees as far as possible at this moment and makes a mockery of the financial packages being offered to business presently which are likely to be used by unscrupulous businesses to look after the company rather than employees. Government should be looking after individuals in these situations and making financial packages to support them instead |

I prefer to look at it another way. The position we are currently in means FOUR teams below us have to better our results in the last 3 games for us to be relegated. With their form and our current application it's difficult though not impossible to see it happening. It's down to us! [Post edited 21 Apr 2019 8:19]

My take..... Sunderland were just very good! We did well to match them for as long as we did and a shame we couldn't hang on but hey ho, we could've been dicked by them like Accy were! Bunney is getting hammered here but it was very apparent that Sunderland's best players were on their right hand side all game. Gooch was fantastic until his injury only to be replaced by Honeyman who was also very good. Both were backed up by O'Nien who played more as a winger than a right back hence us being doubled up on constantly down that side. Kgosi couldn't come out to back up Joe much due to Wyke being a right pain in the arse all game. It was a case of pick your poison! Also, Camps played well I thought but not MOM for sure. How Jim or Ollie didn't get it was beyond me. We have enough about us now to stay up and I hope to see the same starting 11 for Accy. In fact, BBM doesn't seem to fook about with the starting line up much and I think we're seeing the benefits of that now! |

Excellent video and presentation, but how the fook do you keep so calm on the goals? I lost it on that Davies goal and can hardly tell you what went on around me at the time, let alone have held a camera steady. I salute you! |

| Forum Reply | Song for Sunday!! at 17:06 11 Feb 2018
I like Wonderwall as a song, but it doesn't have the crescendo belt it out quality required for a song sung at the footy. There's something about being one voice in a thousand (plus a few drinks) that makes blokes attempt the high notes we wouldn't otherwise dare to go near in public. Some good examples of those that have been sung to good effect are YNWA, Glad All Over, Fields of Athenry, I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles, Can't Help Falling In Love and Glory Glory. It needs to be something like that to get all involved. [Post edited 11 Feb 2018 17:07]

Respectfully disagree. Season ticket holders had to pay for the Millwall game like anyone else so should share in the reward a ticket stub offered, a 5th round ticket. The fact that it is an extra ticket shouldn't come into it. I think the club have been very fair with the allocation myself. Just my opinion like. |
