We will pass it around a lot at the back, look pretty good for the first 30mins but create no real chances. Somewhere around the 31minute mark we will give the ball to one of their strikers who will score. We will then come out after the second half and continue to make 3million passes across the midfield and defence that go absolutely nowhere, and our strikers will be permanently bound to the wings and create nothing. Some time mid second half we will concede goals 2 and 3. It's at this point i'll leave for the pub. The full time whistle will go sometime around the point we're reaching the pub, we will have had 70% possession and zero shots on goal. Martin will come out after the game and say how well we played, how he's learned a lot, and how we were the best side for 30mins which counts for a lot. WE MARCH DOWN! |

1. Our influencers now have the biggest stage to show themselves to be noddy tw*ts 2. We get to go back to the pub a lot earlier due to the 3-0 rule 3. You can now engage in HILARIOUS office bantz with the plastics who wear replica shirts and clap at their tv's at the weekend Oh wait... none of that is good is it? |
| Forum Reply | Benefits - essential safety net or invitation to abuse? at 13:16 19 Sep 2024
I'd hazard a guess every single person on this forum has claimed benefits at some point in their lives, or has a family member that has. Even if they get abused - and they do - it's by a tiny number of people. They should probably be increased to be honest. If you're going to go after "cheats" then go after the rich c*nts that avoid tax instead, or the companies like Amazon who don't pay their fair share. |
| Forum Reply | What was congestion like yesterday ? at 17:13 17 Sep 2024
Had no problems with congestion personally, but i just turned right from the northam and walked down coach alley and over the bridge, the cut through st mary's to town. I guess if you don't know where you're going you'll probably try and take the more "direct" route over the foot bridge and down old northam road, but that's always going to be busier. |

1. Saints Brass were great, properly moving performance from them and I never thought a song by queen - a band I don’t really like - could move me that much 2. The clap for Elijah was great, as was the beers after. Said it to Nick there but it meant the world to us. 3. The northam “wall” is f*cking awful, the club have done the rails on the cheap and it feels less safe than standing without them. Also our song repertoire is so bad it makes me not want to sing. 4. Dibling is a hell of a player, I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if we lose him in January, he’s going to the top so enjoy him whilst we can. 5. That’s the worst United side I can remember seeing since the Ron Atkinson days, the fact we got turned over relatively easily by them really doesn’t bode well |

I'm about as far from a prawn sandwich person as you're going to get mush, but I also have standards and when every song is about the blue few it's just sh*t. |
| Forum Reply | The "Red Wall" at 15:32 15 Sep 2024
Yeah but the difference now is the away fans are over there so gives you something to interact with. Personally i can't keep going back to the northam "wall" as that's probably going to end with me giving up on going to games. It's just full of the worst kind of saints fans who i try and avoid given half the chance. It's actually really hard to explain just how bad it is if you've not been there, a mix of the worst soccer am banter, obsessing over the skates and then people just stood there in silence. |
| Forum Reply | The "Red Wall" at 12:47 15 Sep 2024
If singing about the skates non stop is good atmosphere i think i'd prefer to sit in silence to be honest. Genuinely considering moving to the Chapel to be honest, as i'm not sure i can handle the inbetweeners "BANTZ", moaning and genuinely strange people around us |

Moving the away fans was one of the biggest mistakes the club has made to be honest. To think we'd have 6k people who want to stand and make noise all game is naive at best, to think they don't need the away fans to interact with is just dumb. Yesterday was my first game in the new "wall" as i was away for Forest and my take aways with are that I knew within about 3 minutes i was going to need to move out, it's considerably worse than the Itchen North was, weirdly obsessed with the blue few (i counted four different songs about them in 6minutes in the first half). Also the layout of the "rails" means it feels way too cramped and i feel for the nippers in there because there's no way they can see if people are all stood, and if they stand on the seats to get a view then it's actually more dangerous for them |
| Forum Reply | Saints Fans Asked To Clap For Elijah At Manchester United Game at 12:33 15 Sep 2024
Just want to say a massive thanks to all those that joined in yesterday, nick and Sam Elijah’s parents were absolutely moved by it, and it really was touching to see the ground (including united) pay their respects. Was a properly hard day all round, and the football felt completely back seat to me (thankfully as the score was crap). I think the moment that hit me the most was Saints brass outside the ground playing his favourite song.
RIP top boy miss you mate |
| Forum Reply | How Well Will Saints Do Against United at 16:40 12 Sep 2024
our issue is that we're trying to play like 1970's Holland when we have a defence with the passing ability more fitting to 1980's Merthyr Tydfil. The only reasons i can think that Martin persists with this are either he's convinced our style of play will bore the opposition into falling asleep so we can walk it in, or he's just that arrogant and deluded that he can't see exactly what he's doing wrong. |
| Forum Reply | How Well Will Saints Do Against United at 14:36 12 Sep 2024
We will start ok, pass the ball around a lot but not really threaten their goal, sometime late in the first half we'll pass the ball to one of their strikers who will score, we will then continue to pass the ball around a lot in completely inconsequential areas of the pitch before they get their second and third in quick succession. The whole game our strikers will be too far apart so there will be absolutely no direct threat, and we'll finish the game with 70% possession, zero shots on goal and 3-0 down. Martin will come out afterwards and say that he learned a lot from the game, thought we played some great football and that he believes in his system. |

It’s all part of this weird new try hard culture where people think they have to be seen doing certain things, personally I’m old fashioned and go to the football to go to the football. No idea why it all has to be some grand performance on social media, just go to the game, have a beer with your mates and family, have a laugh and go home. |
| Forum Reply | Away Ticket Allocation at 18:33 10 Sep 2024
I don’t think I’ve ever gone to an away game just to qualify, I go because Saints are playing |
| Forum Reply | Away Ticket Allocation at 10:22 10 Sep 2024
I think that's been going on for a while hasn't it? Effectively a block held aside for hospitality season ticket holders. The club do a similar thing for the supporters clubs and for friends/family of staff too |
