My two youngest sisters were at a party in Birchgrove with some Swansea players many years ago. Tatey turned up, was not happy with the choice of music being played, and threw the CD player out of the window!
My daughter got hers through the post a few days ago. She now lives in Reading, so had to email the TO to confirm that the ticket was going to that address.
She told her boyfriend, who supports Reading, that there was no way she was going to sit with him and the other Reading fans as they might get upset when Swansea score and she celebrates!
The old Bridge Meadow was developed into a supermarket (Morrisons nowadays). The new Bridge Meadow behind Morrisons was paid for by the sale of the old site. It's regarded as one of the best pitches in Wales, in playing surface terms. That's why it has hosted international games in the past.
When I used to regularly go and see Haverfordwest County play down the Bridge Meadow about 12/13 years ago the likes of Tony Bird and Jonathan Coates were playing for them. There were always young Swansea players playing for HCFC in the past, and pre season friendlies with SCFC were a regular occurrence.
I bought a Tannoy Soundbase a couple of years ago at a bargain price from Richer Sounds. Must say it has made a huge difference to the sound quality from our flat screen which sits upon it. Nowhere as good as a separates system but we had no room for anything more, so this compromise has worked out very well.
