All,
Aware of a new fishing email banking scam doing the rounds. Obviously most IT literate folk know you should never click a link on an email purported to be from your bank, however there are some who still do.
They maybe older people, or those not familiar with the regular business bulletins you get alerting you to these kind of scams, so please make sure you remind those less IT literate folk, who may be more gullible thank yourself, not to be taken in by these scammers. |

Just had a quick look at the amended accounts v the original accounts. Looks like the only change is to correct an error in note 2 where the cash balance was omitted from the 2018 balances in the originals, and was picked up by the companies house review.
Pretty poor show from the accountants to be honest, this should have been picked up in review by them.
In addition the accounts are now signed by the CEO/Director.
Other than formatting changes I cannot see any further amends. |

I wholeheartedly agree that the club lost, it lost decades of experience and commitment to our club.
My comment was who won, and that is the current CEO who found himself in a well paid job (after losing his previous job) with a board consisting of 2 direct reports and an absent chair. In other words I believe this was good planning and not good fortune that has enabled him to benefit personally.
I am not necessarily on the same page as you with regards shareholders. They do have some control but at the end of the day many business have a board who are not the main shareholders, however they are there to hold to account - and for that, with the current Board I am very thankful for. |

Anyone who knows anything about the comings and goings of our club off the pitch, in particular in the Boardroom, knows only too well how manipulative the CEO of OUR club is.
Since arriving as an independent Non Exec (with a chequered corporate history at that) he has been party to a Boardroom revolt resulting in the acrimonious and extremely sad exit of one of the finest champions of OUR club in our history, to a self serving appointment as CEO with no experience accompanied by hand picked Board appointments to serve his agenda - two of who reported to him.
Where are the overcoat men when you need them??? |

Brilliant idea and very well deserved. Cloughie entertained my father in law in Mona Cliffs and he never lost his humour and love of the Dale.
I think the funds will be raised so worth someone picking up with the club to ensure they are ok with it. Maybe one for his estate executors? |

Very sad news. Me and the missus spent some time with him in Mona Cliffe as Cloughie and my father in law were entertaining each other with tales of everything Dale past. All the bloke wanted was a pie and I very much hope he got what he wanted!
RIP Cloughie and enjoy all the pies you want from here on in. |
