Sorry missed the other thread, still if anyone could repost the link as others might have also missed, We grumble at times but lots to be thankful for, including not having moved out of town during the 90s when soulless Reading type stadiums were all the rage. |

Above article appeared on my Google feed this morning, Durham completed the 92 and listed his Top 10, Loftus Road is his No1 favourite ground, great write up, really gets it, Appreciate if someone could post link as not sure how to. |

Good job he did'nt he would have got ironed out again, What a thing to say, the bloke is a deluded idiot, Reminds me of when Groves told De Gale when you're in the middle of the ring, without your trainers instructions, you're lost...and the same applied to Joshua... Got tagged early & just did'nt learn, Fury would have weathered that storm, but like the Ruiz first fight, Joshua went running in guard down & got knocked out... Student of the sport he referred to himself as once, yeah right. |

Ruiz showed up AJ for the bully he was and is, showed he wasn't a real fighter when he ran away from Ruiz in their re-match, lacked ability and class and Dubois will be a far worthier champion. |

Finally finally after so long our corner-kicks now carry a threat, Great work from Dunne in winning the header, being slow to get off their keeper and creating space with his body-check for Alfie, Alfie does'nt look like a Winger in the limited minutes I've seen him but reckon he's a far better option as a 3rd striker than say Kelman, as not without pace and has strength, desire and hopefully a goalscorers instinct. |

Just hope the Club and Marti don't undervalue Dunne, With a high turnover of players in a player taking model, it's important to keep a core who best represent what playing for the club means, the likes of Dunne, Field etc, Can play anywhere in the back line as two footed, always puts the team first, really need to value his services accordingly. As long as we don't try to short change hom like we did with Barbet, confident he'll sign. |

Languid running style not the quickest really reminds me of another Dane (via West London) in Matt O'Riley. Bought for £1.5m from MK Don's and recently sold to Brighton for £25m, let's hope those comparisons continue, Really liked both him and Dembele moving the ball first time for the 2nd goal, likewise early cross meaning the defence didn't have time to reset, something we've needed to do for a long long time. |

Whereas Cook positioning for their late chance was really poor, his movement when we conceded was really good as anticipated header back across goal and tried to cover that space, Dunne & Frey should both have done better in challenging for first ball. |

Yes agree on substitutions, moving Dembele into middle seemed to open up the pitch and led to creating 2nd goal, Can't recall first 15 minutes in detail but just thought we couldn't get beyond our own half for most of the first 45mins, If we'd known McGuinness had that level of rickett in him we would no doubt have gone long earlier. |

Steve Cook's positioning for Luton's last minute chance is very concerning and could go some way to explain, has a tendency to drop too deep and give his man too much space, he definitely got away with one there. |

Mr Sheen, are you Pat Spillane, listened to a podcast recently where that's exactly his typical day, mixed in with a swim in the ocean, happy days! |

Let's agree to disagree on the above and we can also agree if they're spending £10m+bonuses on Premier League forwards, Dykes is not going to start too many games. |

Birmingham can spend £10m+ on a Premier League forward, can probably afford any striker in the Championship and chose to buy Dykes. If, huge if, Frey can deliver repeat performances like last night, we've upgraded, and I like the look of Celar and even Doughty as a 3rd striker, so reasons to be cautiously optimistic. |

I'm still not all in as ridiculous as that sounds after a great night, We were dominated in 1st Half last night, playing out from the back was never going to work with no one showing to receive the ball, We fortunately got back into the game after Nardi's save to stop them going 2-0 nil up, McGuiness's horrendous mistake opened the door for Frey he did superbly, Luton were suddenly rattled, maybe not surprising after 1 win in 23, then they lose possession to Dembele, go to sleep at the back post and we have something to defend, Great result but not sure down to Marti management master class, Two week break will give him time to work with the new players and when Chairs back we can start to properly assess how he's doing. |

Not brave, horrendous head clash at home v WBA a few seasons ago, one of their giant Centre Backs nutted him in the back of the head, ended up both half sparked out, WBA guy with a huge egg sized lump on his forehead, Dykes got back up and carried on trying to win headers, not brave is an inaccurate and unfair slight when the likes of Wzolek and others who weren't never got called out for their obvious lack of bravery. |

Yes you did, his footballing ability is vastly under-rated, two footed and not without the skill. |
| Forum Reply | Madsen at 00:35 31 Aug 2024
Thought he was the only player who had a poor game, a little too early for him to start away at Luton, did well to get up and finish but thought he was a key reason we couldn't get any decent possession in 1st Half. |
