Most of the people getting in trouble with these riots have been advised to plead guilty. I wonder why he’s gone down the not guilty route knowing he’s on camera committing the offence? |

It wasn’t a conscious attempt to pivot it to her. Anotherjohn made a valid comment about left field factors that may influence the election and used hunter biden’s naughtiness as an example. I then chipped in and said the debates will be important too because Harris has a record of struggle without her notes and teleprompter. It was a very organic conversation.
We’ve been talking about Trump for ten years. He’s a known quantity. Harris is the new kid on the block and people are thinking and hoping she’s the answer when it’s quite clear to anyone with a functioning brain that she’s definitely not. |

You honestly think if they’d had the usual nomination process she would be anywhere near the candidacy? Keep in mind she dropped out before a single vote was cast last time because her campaign flopped so much. |

Interesting she’s only done one interview/press conference since taking over the race and that was an overly friendly CNN chat where she still managed to struggle.
She’ll probably win the election comfortably because of the “anyone but Trump” vote and she has the weight of the media and all the power brokers behind her. But that doesn’t make her in any way a good or competent candidate. In fact she’s probably the worst the democrats have ever offered. |

Maybe. It’s a different skill set though. If you’re prosecuting you are always in control. You ask all the questions, the defendant cannot challenge you. You have a big file of notes and can take time to deliberate and consider your next move. Everything is highly structured.
Starmer is in the same boat. He’s a top lawyer too. His head is always down in his notes when he speaks. He doesn’t put himself in any situation where he can’t have his notes in front of him. Without them he’s lost. |

Very positive so far. We are getting loads of bodies in the box when we are attacking. Making a very well thought of Turkish team look very poor.

Is it more complicated than that? Or is it actually very simple?
It’s difficult to think of any challenge this country is facing without it being directly caused by or at least exacerbated by a boom in the population due to large migration numbers.
It’s just basic common sense that accepting 1.2 million new arrivals every year (600,000 net) both legal and illegal puts more stress on the infrastructure, public services, the rental market, the housing market. There’s also a significant percentage of foreign born people in our prisons so we can add crime to the list.
As much as it would be nice to bury our heads in the sand and say la la la la everything’s fine nothing to see here, mass migration is inextricably linked to every facet of our lives and the lives of everyone in this country. |

The debates will be an eye opener too. Harris is notoriously poor when she doesn’t have her notes/teleprompter which is why her team have been trying to get the rules of the debate changed. It could be a bigger car crash than the Biden one. |

If we started turning back boats then within days word would get around and people would think twice before handing over thousands of pounds for a place on the boats. They’re currently willing to pay the criminals thousands of pounds because there’s no risk apart from the journey itself. |

We could stop illegal immigration overnight if there was the political will to do so. But the powers that be see no issue with filling the country with millions from all around the world if it drives wages down and grows the economy by a tiny percentage point. |
