You are trying too hard now mate. Just give up and move on - or at least give it a rest.

Its a bit depressing to read - but at least we have a better sense of what is going on now. The club needs a period of dry weather to get on top of temporary solutions. I suspect we have no choice but to make enquiries of other grounds in the area to get us through February. But the impact on the club at not having home games for the best part of two months will be significant. If the club need to run some events in the bars in the meantime to get some cash in they should say so.

I appreciate that they have also apologised for the inconvenience and cost that many fans have been through with cancellations.

Its a good job they decided to exit the Football Trophy competition or they would have real fixture congestion.

I couldn't disagree with you more. We have a dwindling fan base, we have a problem with a pitch that we have known about since October and haven't done enough to protect it. That is why people are angry. The fans are taken for granted. They were happy to take our season ticket money and some us spent thousands on shares in a vain hope to save the club - but yet we are taken for granted. I don't know how many thousands you spend on your trips to Spotland, but I have wasted a fortune this year trying to 'support' my team only to not see a game. Why shouldn't we criticise when the club can't say sorry, or tell us why they didn't protect the pitch. Would any of our decent CEOs over the past 20 years leave us in this vacuum? No. And any decent CEO would have acknowledged the embarrasment and at least offered to put a couple of free coaches to Stockton tonight to at least get some fans there to what is supposed to be a home game. The club hasn't even made the refunds of the tickets from Saturday as promised as yet.

It would seem your values and mine are completely different and we will just have to agree to disagree. I have simply had enough. If I stopped turning up tomorrow they wouldn't even notice. I know things happen - it is how it is dealt with that counts. Football is notoriously poor with how it deals with paying fans - and the planned football regulator is long overdue. Bring one in, make clubs accountable, and lets change the game for the better. I hope Murray resigns from the Board as he is on a hiding to nothing and I hope that one day the new owners will outline a vision that might bring Team Rochdale back.

So not only do the club think it is beneath them to apologise for the postponement again, they decided to switch the home game to a ground over 100 miles away and don't think they have any responsibility to help fans get there.

The sooner we have a football regulator in place the better. Our fan engagement is worse than ever.

Given Jimmy Bell was 'mutually released' as manager at Clitheroe in December, I suspect he will also end up in kent. The American owners will need translators

As the Boston tickets will be valid for the re-arranged match they won't be automatically refunded unless you ask for it. I am sure if you bought them electronically, a quick call or email to the club would sort that. The Stockton tickets are a different matter and most of our fans won't have an inconvenient trip to get a refund is all I was saying - assuming that the ticket system works as intended and they have stored all of our payment details.

For the sake of balance, at least the majority of our fans will have bought their tickets digitally and we should be refunded automatically. So maybe, our position is less inconvenient for fans. And we did call it off early enough to avoid travelling. Having said that, the word sorry would be nice. And we still don't know why the club hasn't hired some rain covers to give us a better chance of getting games on.

We'll find out on Wednesday. The forecast is for Stockton to not get above freezing all day Tuesday and Wednesday - but it will be sunny on both days. It will be -5c by 9pm on Wednesday. The positive is that it will be dry and so there shouldn't be much to freeze.

Tell me about it, I have travelled to Rochdale 3 times so far this season for nothing. Didn't make the same mistake today.

I see that the tickets from today won't be valid and will need to be refunded. Stockton will issue tickets from Monday at their normal prices - which are marginally higher than todays. I can only assume they had little confidence of the game going ahead today and had already agreed with Stockton to switch it as a precaution. I guess their pitch guarantees it will go ahead - Hartlepool a few miles up the road is off due to frozen pitch. It is certainly cold (albeit sunny) in the north east.

We deserve some detailed explanations on what can now be done and why they think it will work. And have they a plan to hire special covers over the next few months. And will the club be offering free transport to Stockton on Wednesday for those prepared to go. Play offs will be at serious risk if the fixtures back up any more than they have already

They are leaving at 11.30am so there is time to make a decision. As I see it - if it is frozen today, it will still be frozen at 9.30am. Unless miracles happen. No idea whether the pitch was covered or not.

As for the Wolves under 21s next Tuesday - move it to next Saturday when we are free. Gives the pitch time to recover and a day time game has to be better than a night game in these temperatures for the pitch. Their under 21s should be flexible

We have barely sold 300 tickets for this game as yet. This is what happens when the fans have no confidence whatsoever that the game will go ahead. Does anybody believe it will?

I do agree with you by the way. We must be able to sell 2000 home tickets for this given we.ve been starved of Saturday football at home for so long

To be fair they announced the cup ticket details before Christmas, before the good away win. And we haven't even sold 100 tickets in the home ends as yet. I suspect somebody has made the decision that the game won't be popular.

Until the club has somebody senior that has responsibility for fan engagement they will keep making the same mistakes.

We are playing Stockton Town next Saturday.

I have noticed that they have sold half their allocation already. It is a big game for them and I was surprised they have been put in the Pearl Street. I suspect they will sell out and need to be moved.
