Apology for Offensive Valley Parade Chant
at 22:43 11 Jan 2013

You do have a point there, Owens comments shouldn't have even been mentioned, i saw nothing wrong with what he said and to me there was no reason whatsoever to make an apology. infact i wouldn't have if i were him.

Yes it does count, of course it counts, all i'm saying is that they were not actual Dale players as the poster love_the_dale said (Only 5/11 of the team are ex Dale LOL) they were not Dale players, they were on loan, we had two players on loan that played against Villa but they are actually Newcastle and West Ham players that are on loan to City. Well that's how i see it any way.
Thanks for the good wishes in the next leg, it's gonna be very tough and a miracle if we do it. 6500 fans going to Villa Park so it should be a good atmosphere.

So really there were only two bonafide Dale players the rest were on loan to you, Duke (Hull) Atkinson (Hull) Darby (Liverpool) they played for Dale yes but not actually Dale players. Only Jones and Mcardle can be classed as ex Dale players.

Apology for Offensive Valley Parade Chant
at 17:37 11 Jan 2013

A big thank you from Bradford City fans, a really nice gesture.
Many if not most City fans have never heard the chant before including myself and took offence and things were taken out of context, Dale fans never meant any offence and we all know that now and the article clears things up once and for all.
Good luck for the rest of the season.
Thanks again.

Gary Jones - the man, the machine, the legend
at 18:43 29 Dec 2012

Believe it or not Mcardle had his worst game ever for us today, but having said that he has played more minutes than any other player in the country this season so he must be knackered out.
Gary Jones also bottled it today, he was taken out of the game by Kennedy, well i think it was him doing the man marking.

Well on todays performance it's certainly an upward trend i'd say, Coleman has a fantastic record against Bradford teams, he's never ever been on the losing side against a City or Avenue team.

Never ever heard it before, maybe other visiting fans have more tact and don't sing it.

On that performance i can see Dale overtaking City in the playoff places. Dale were very solid and in my opinion the best team to visit Valley Parade this season.

Yes i was there that day and lost a friend, not a close friend but a friend nevertheless.
I don't have a gripe now, the other posters explained what the chant was about.

Not touchy, fair enough if that's a chant that's normally sang by Dale fans i apologise for ranting, but i can honestly say i have never ever heard the chant before and assumed it was aimed at past events.

Maybe so, hopefully some of those that were chanting it will read this and take note next season.
As for the match full credit to Dale, you outplayed and out muscled us well out of the game and scored some great goals apart from one where our goalkeeper made a hash of it, even at 3-2 down i knew we were going to get beat, your midfield totally bossed things. Gary Jones had a quiet game although he got a nice reception from the Dale fans.
Villa got stuffed again today, maybe their bad spell has come a couple of weeks too early for us.
thanks anyway

Disgraceful Rochdale fans, fairplay to you on the three points but singing
"is there a fire drill" is way way out of order considering what happened at Valley Parade.
