There is an argument that says that Remy is not 100% fit for Saturday.
Rather than risking the player with even more injury that will see him definitely miss the rest of the season, HR has decided to rest Remy against ManUre, but have him ready for more 'winnable'  games against Southampton, Sunderland and Aston Villa, where we have more chance of scoring & picking up points.
It's a dangerous risk to take, but at this stage of the season, we can only take risks; playing safe will mean certain relegation. |  |

Do we have a plan A? 
I don't think it matters in the slightest if Remy is fit if the team is going to play like it has been anyway.
We simply don't really create the chances or situation for a poacher/play off the defenders shoulder striker like Remy to thrive on.
Without a Zamora style figure to actually retain and recycle the ball in the oppo half we are toothless.
Adel upfront seems to be the only option to me, as playing Mackie as a lone striker negates a lot of his good qualities and highlights his bad ones. | | | |

I know that's crazy and goes against the six man midfield but we have Bothroyd and Zamora who can share 90 minutes, Angelo Balanta scored another hat trick the other day, he could be used. We have options, use them.

I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt and hope he gets back soon, but we were crying out for a target man in the window. The back end of last season, Bobby Z led the line, supported by Adel and Jamie Mac, with Barton, Samba and Derry/Buzz doing the midfield work. Cisse was often used as an impact sub from the bench. It worked well with our impressive home run at the end of the season.
In the window I would have gone all out for a Crouch, or someone that could at least hold the ball up and be a presence up front. Funny that the board would spend so much money and yet be reluctant to spend that little bit extra to secure a decent striker. It wasn’t an all or nothing approach, it was somewhere in between which was a mistake.

AJ permacrocked, Bobby Zee 45 mins only, Betty doesn't count as a footballer, let alone a striker, Balanta is a) no-where near the standard needed and b) over 21.
May as well have the reserve keepers practice their shooting in midweek, they might find a hidden talent and dig us out of a hole. Either that or one of our under-18s  |  |

Why save him for the later games by the time we have played man utd we could be 9 or 10 points off 3rd bottom as Reading are at home to Wigan and Villa away to arsenal and the way arsenal are going Villa might well get something. Arry has had since 24th Nov to look at the squad so has to take the blame as well but as a media darling we are not allowed. | | | |
