Gary Jones no doubt will be excited about this match and who can blame him?
A player and manager can move from club to club but a supporter cant, but I like to follow good footballer's and Gary Jones certainly fits into that category for me.
I obviously want us to win but at the same time I wish Gary Jones all the best for this game, if he hits a 30 yard screamer and it turns out to be the winner I would be very happy for him.
I expect him to crunch into tackles with our midfield and run the game like he would for Rochdale, and I will be singing his name before the game as I expect many others to do.

Believe it or not Mcardle had his worst game ever for us today, but having said that he has played more minutes than any other player in the country this season so he must be knackered out.

It wasn't just that, Jones was ineffective with the ball anyway. Both Tutte and Kennedy carry the ball forward better and he isn't a similar player to Cavanagh ie. Not suited to the destroyer role.
Don't doubt he's done well at Bradford, but they've been poor for years - he's the sort of player that stands out when trying to turn a team round. But he's not the player he was 2+ years ago. [Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]

If you averaged out Jones's performances over the last 10 years, his display today would be the archetype. Lots of sideways passing and huffing and puffing, he should have been booked for a mistimed challenge and he drove a free-kick into the wall. 6 out of 10. |  |

Today we gave a textbook display on how to defeat a 442. Our midfield completely dominated against their 2 and the amount of times we took a short goal kick and knocked it around at the back stretching and forcing them to close us down before exposing their centre was amazing.
