THE Hoilett deal. 15:03 - Jul 12 with 6864 viewsSL4_Ranger

The lack of talk at all from Simon Peach and David McIntyre says allot about the deal for Hoilett.
They said after the Park deal had been officaily announced, that they werent allowed to say anything. And they haven't said zip about the Hoillet deal. So I think the deal is almost done, just tying loose ends, like compensation.
Hopefully done before the team leave for Asia.

It's been widely reported, and for two reporters who are usually close to QPR, with Peach at Loftus Road yesterday. Seems its just like the Park deal. Just waiting for the official, before they can talk.

Allo allo! Haven't posted here in a while!

Just to clarify, while I have a better relationship with the club these days (not difficult) and have no choice but to admit there are some very likeable people down there, this doesn't extend to debate about what I'm allowed to report and not.

I spent nine days trying hard to get the Park story out before the club because it was a massive story I really wanted, and frankly one I knew could make a lot of money with. Unfortunately I didn't manage to as I wasn't sure enough of certain facts and was overtaken by others who had a better knowledge of what was happening. No arguments.

My point was that Rangers wanted to keep it a secret — as they always do — and on this occasion were able to tie me in knots a bit and buy some time in a way I reckon most fans would definitely approve of and feel they did a good, professional job.

I only ever hold back something if otherwise someone's job or career chances might be threatened. Other than that if I don't get over the line first with a story it's sadly because I'm not good enough at my job!

Excellent, are you suitably tied up and trussed up at the moment or happily knot free?

Sky Sports journo on twitter says he is off to germany to talk to BM. Can't blame him, they have the lure of Champions League football.

Well if he goes to Germany fair enough. CL football and he has played there before I beleive + his brother is out there. Germany may have been his first choice and he used other clubs to get them to Pay him more than originally offered.

Still hope we've shown him enough to come to us.

LOL - thanks for that. Very good to hear that the club's managing the processes under wraps - doesn't help you but kills the ITK merchants that were a blight on the club in previous times.

Just one other thing, what's your favourite cheese?

Don't believe £70k pw for a minute. If true, that is utter insanity for a Wigan benchwarmer that they didn't want to retain.

yeah a 4-2-3-1 formation with Hoillett and Park out wide and Adel given a free role looks pretty good. Can also switch and play 4-4-2 if needed

Wth all the attacking defenders we have now and all the creative midfileders I think we should take a leaf out of Spains book and play 1 1 8 1. I'd like to see any Prem team find a way round that or try to get the ball off us.

I don't like cheese full stop! Sorry.

To be honest the club tightening up a bit helps a lot, actually. No point being precious about these things, but it is the case that if there's something happening with a player for example but he's one of the hundred names being banded around already, it obviously devalues a story a tiny bit. No getting away from that really.

Hang on, are you saying that the club is now run in a professional manner?

Have these people no sense of tradition and the values that have QPR what it is today? Or at least what is was two years ago.

I posted a couple up that I found in the system a week or so back - one for Jon Walters and one for Darren Ambrose.

Looks like the Defoe one is a bin job, but I'm sure you've done your research on Ki - I'm not sure whether or not I hope its not wasted. I'm sure he's a reasonable player, but not certain he's worth the asking price.
