Should we join the Welsh cup next season on 13:14 - Jan 14 by guthrieintherain
It's risky if there is a league restructure.
And how are we going to fit the fixtures in it's not like the old Cup winners cup. With 32 teams in a 2 legged knockout.
European fixtures is the reason the Premier League was cut to 20 teams. You can't play Championship fixtures, League Cup, FA Cup, Cymru Cup and European Fixtures.

Of course you can
46 league
Usually 3/4/5 league/fa cup games
4 games to win welsh cup
55 games in 10 months. No problem.
And we could utilise our fringe players to get through the first game or two

Yes if we did have a run in the competition.
6 games to qualify for the league 8 league group games 8 2 legged knockout games And the final.
So thats an extra 23 games 46 league games 4 Welsh cup FA Cup if Luke is in charge 1 game. Leeague Cup if Luke is in charge 1 game
That's 75 games providing we don't get a cup run Can't see the problem myself

Some are just so clueless. The squad cost required for such demands would be really expensive to put it mildly, to purchase and pay. Considering the profit from any European adventure would not be included in P&S and the cost would need to come out of the reduced P&S budget, you do wonder if we would be in a worse financial mess than we are now.

I’m unsure on the impact of P&S, it is revenue that doesn’t include player sales or those coming in or contracts. Worth a check 👍
A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.
It was never previously a problem or an issue. Playing in our Welsh Cup and in Europe. Believe what you want to but it would be good for our club and for welsh football to have good representation in Europe. My one experience of it ( Malmo ) was amazing. Not the gsme but the whole trip and memory. There’s no guarantee we would qualify of course. Wrexham and to a lesser extent Newport and Cardiff might have something to say too.

Sorry but that's crazy, haven't you noticed how much we are struggling right now? Our squad is paper thin and we are no allowed to spend, spend to bulk it up to a point where can do all those games and even then, what if we have good cup runs?
Then there's the threat to our EFL status, that could happen and I don't see other EFL clubs being happy with our backdoor into European competition which could be a money spinner and so give us a financial advantage in the league.
It just doesn't work for me.

I think you are wrong, the moneu would be ncome thrpough football, not money spunked out by a rich benefactor. I think it would be ok. Not that it changes my mind, I'm against doing this.
Too many games, potentially waaay too many. Too much money needing to be spent to get a big enough AND good enough squad, that's probably P&S broken before we kick a ball. Then the EFL thing, would clubs object, would the EFL look at expellong us?
No thanks. It could ruin us or it could be brilliant but I think the latter is less likely.

WAS
It’s 2025 ,now,I Believe even in Cardigan and Resolven
Swansea have trouble attracting quality player who prefer WBA Stoke and even Bristol City these days.
The lure of European football would change all that. I believe Euro football would appeal to many young footballers who do not want to relocate to Europe or Scotland. I am a sceptic but if EUFA have given it the green light then it should be OK.
Swansea have only a 50:50 chance of getting there even as Wales s top team ATM.

How do we fit all the games in. Chelsea are in it this year and play 2 different squads.
