Good first half - flat as fukk the second.
Same old story really ; no real quality up front. Can't see anyone scoring goals regularly for us & that will be, and is, our ultimate downfall.
Good to see the tippy-tappy bollocks across the back disappear from our game though.
All in all, and despite having a new manager, the scoreline is near enough what I expected. Even if we had Pep or Klopp in charge, the squad is well below what's needed in the top flight. Good luck to Juric though. I like the fella. |  |

Decent display first half display and good to see a bit of presence up front. Armstrong should have been replaced much sooner though.
Stoppage time Dibling should have put Paul in through on goal instead of putting the ball into the Northam.

Tall Paul had a good game, but his finishing was not the best, He should have had 3 today, but put in a big shift as did most of the players.
West Ham goal was scrappy and result of poor defending.
Would like to see same team next game, but with Archer in place of Armstrong and Sugawara dropped (but not for Stephens). He seems to always have a mistake in him and his positional play at back looks questionable.

The difference between the 2 teams today was that only one had a goalscoring striker: Jarrod Bowen. We had a lot more chances, but chances don't win games. Give Bowen 2 chances and he'll score a goal; give Onuachu 4 and he won't.
Playing a season in the Premier League without a goalscoring striker means you don't win games. We created so many chances today, it was frustrating to see we had nobody capable of finishing them, but I guess we already knew that.. [Post edited 26 Dec 19:44]
