Noury you're a cnt (despite my outburst after Boro), and get out of our club.

But, the owners need to go. Death by a thousand cuts.

Too true.

When he sacks Marti, I will never forgive Nourry or the owners for backing this privileged fool ahead of a very decent man and manager.

He should be backed via a press release, today, that admits he has been given a tough task in terms of injuries and "unfortunate" recruitment, but his job is safe even in League One. That would send a message to the players too.

He won't of course, he is clearly going to be sacked and Nourry will be hoping for a crushing defeat on Weds or Saturday to give him the free pass he thinks it will bring. He will be wrong, as he will discover at the home games following.

I loved Marti's words and actions yesterday in regards to the crowd. I can't remember such a connection with a manager between fans and players for a long time, even far more successful ones like Warnock the wolves were out as soon as we faltered. Not this man. Speaks volumes.

But when he goes, I thank him for that turnaround last season, some of those games (Leicester A, Leeds H stick in the mind) brought as much fun as I have seen at Rangers for many a year. It was great to enjoy a manager rather than moan about him. I will also wish him every success in the future, as I know he will do well at a more stable club.

Nourry out, now.

If we sack Marti, I'm not sure I can be arsed going back again this season.

But ultimately I'd be happy for him. He deserves better than this

Yep. And so do the supporters.

Strongly recommend listening to the interview rather than the wrapper around it on WLS:

It's WLS' role to create news - the content doesn't suggest one way or the other whether he's going.

I think you're right, E17. WLS is making a headline that's debatable at best.

It's not inconceivable that Marti might get the sack but it would take Nourry and the board's level of stupidity to a new low.

Marti is not entirely blameless for the mess we're in at the moment but he's the right man to get us out of it as he demonstrated last season.

It is pretty clear he cannot stand Nourry, things he’s getting sacked, and does not want to go.

The little comment about “data” embedded in one of the answers was also telling.

Also the comment about him being clear to those above what we need, indicates a) he thinks the squad is poor and b) they haven’t signed what he wants (yet).

All in all, sad. He is clearly feeling the pressure - understandable given the situation - feels exasperated at what he can do with so many injuries and this squad, and does not feel supported by the CEO/DOF.

Who In their right mind would want to come here and Manage/train low standard players who have been ''employed'' by a prick who uses an I-Pad as his only 'means' of Championship football knowledge.

Glad I watched that, E17, and thanks for the prompt.

I thought the questions were asked with respect, answered with respect and reported with respect.

If/when he does sack Cifuentes I am hoping and expecting to hear all sides of the ground singing words to the effect if Christian Nourry get out of our club.

If the owners even take a smidgen of note/interest in what the club will say they will know the fault lies with them and their decision to appoint this charlatan. Not quite Tony F/Mark Hughes and Joorabchian levels but the guy seems to be a complete chancer.

It never works out as simply as you'd like but even if we do go down which seems likely you'd think some of the youngsters being bedded in this year could be effective in the league below i.e Morgan, Lloyd, Bennie and co. though that is all rather clutching at straws - but I'd want Marti in charge of the rebuild

I assume Nourry was there yesterday. Surely even someone that's supremely arrogant wouldn't sack Marti after hearing the support he got from the fans. He really would be on a hiding to nothing.

Cifuentes gone? on 09:57 - Nov 24 with 2510 viewsNorthantsHoop

I really think we should stick with Marti and let the season play out. At the moment we are hampered by injuries and lack of confidence and a poor striker, but if we can somehow bobble along and keep within 5 or 6 points of safety their is hope once Chair, Frey, JCS and a couple of signings in January can get us going. I sort of feel what will be will be and ditching Marti now will not change the picture that we are an average/poor team. I sort of think we have become an Ipswich/Sunderland of recent years where our time is up at this level and you can't keep throwing mud at it and hope it sticks. Remember Ipswich were a dead man walking stuck I think with McCarthy went down from the Championship and then had to re-build went through a couple of managers before finding their mojo with McKenna.

I think there would be queue if people volunteering to administer the aforementioned hiding.

I wouldn't be changing manager and Hunter has pretty much said what I think on the issue but I did find his change yesterday taking off Smyth and playing Ashby as a right winger pretty bizarre

I thought we lost a bit of momentum when Field and Smythe went off especially when Saito was the one that looked knackered. Strange substitutions.

I shall send him a brief notelet:

Marti, we can't get over you
You handsome Casanova you.

Hope he doesn't take it the wrong way !

Seriously, I won't forgive the club if they fire him.

I did think that at the time as there was a lot of shifting of positions at that stage in the game with the subs

However..... if Slowmoshun Jesus had released the ball a fraction earlier and Alfie had caught it better we'd be Lording those changes as we walk away with a 2-1 win we might just've about deserved.

Hsving slept on it I remain that Marti must stay.
The players aren't downing tools, well those that pick them up, and that respect I'm sure we'll go down fighting which is all you can ask for from a bunch of inferior unsuitable players interspersed with some quite decent lads.

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

I really hope he doesn’t get sacked. Yesterday was far better and we should stick with him come what may. The squad is poorly balanced, ravaged with injuries and ultimately even if it is all his fault, that too should rest with Nourry as he just gave him a new long term contract!!

Anyway, if and when he goes, next home game, to the tune of ‘he’s one of our own’

‘It should have been you, it should have been youuuuu,
Christian Nourry, it should have been you’
On repeat, followed by Marti’s song

My one faint hope is I think Nourry probably pays a certain level of attention to message boards, twitter etc, in terms of fans ' opinions, mood etc. That injury update felt like an example.

So if he decides to go through with making Marti the scapegoat (not that Marti is completely blameless) he'd hopefully have some awareness of how that would be received. Marti went about as far as he could in that interview to describe the issues in the background.

We were however far better for Lloyd and Morgan on instead of Madsen and Celar, so those worked. He's not exactly working with much from his bench is he?

Exactly. Lloyd was in the Conference and Morgan was in Spurs’ U18s.

Our problem is the quality of the squad and fitness/injuries, it’s not the manager. And who are responsible for the former?

He’s clearly not going to start Celar again after such an inept performance yesterday so that will be the showdown with Nourry.
