Why would we pay off his contract? We wouldn't. We would keep him on the payroll and let him stay at home. It's called gardening leave. Next summer when he finds a Championship club to manage we mutually agree to terminate his contract. He could insist on sitting at home and being paid for 3 years for doing nothing, but he wouldn't want to do that because he'd be the forgotten man by the time it ended. Even if he did insist, we wouldn't be paying his contract in one go.

Sack Ankersen as well, he's a bigger pri@k than Martin. I see SR, and Ankersen in particular, as a cancer that is just slowly eating our Club away from the inside.
