Biggest Club in the World vs QPR Match Thread 15:37 - Nov 6 with 43857 viewsMonkey_Roots

When we knocked them over last season, I was round my mate's house, who is a HUGE Leeds fan, and has a HUGE mouth to go with it - they were going up, we were tin pot, couldn't wait etc etc

I took a picture of him after each goal

1st picture, the facial expression was a bit like 'that's weird, they've scored'
2nd picture was more like 'oh feck'
3rd picture was the middle finger
4th picture just had a blanket over his head

It was one of the best days of my life.

Leeds 2-0

Fair enough

I don't want him sacked, that'll be madness I just thought he'd have got us playing better and not be deservedly bottom of the league.

Never gonna get a result today but this has got to stop and stop bloody soon.

I would play kolli and ask them to be brave and just go for it

If we lose 5-0 - fine but at least give it a go please

Positives
It's only 1.
We've had 1 attempt on goal. Dunne header
We've been quite disciplined
Negatives
We've barely had a kick in their half
It should be more than 1
Rodon, struck and Meslier could change into club suits, if it is as toothless in 2nd half

I'm not surprised. It's been that way nearly all season. We all love Marti but we do not look like a well coached side.

Speak for yourself - I was an admirer, but he seems committed to burning up his credit ever since he got his new contract! Funny that!

If we don't look well coached, what is it you love him for again? His natty beard?

Calm down: it’s only 1-0.
Most of us would’ve taken that beforehand.

The score line isn't so much the issue as much as how completely out of our depth we are. And it's not full time yet. I can't see it ending 0-1

Shit but local

Well it could have been worse, there is effort there. Anderson struggling with pace. Saito doing alright at left wing back. Celar looking like striker for at least 30 minutes.

We are struggling on our right though. Ashby is utterly woeful defensively goal came from his poor play, and s a real weak link. Back three not great either including Captain Cook who is either carrying something or is checking out. Smyth having a very Smyth game when he starts, lots of endeavour and lots of mistakes

Been a while since I watched us in such resignation. Didn't react at all to them scoring, and even at only one nil I'm watching with no anticipation or expectation what so ever. Really takes the joy out of it doesnt it.

We look just so utterly done.

Celar would have more impact sitting on the train.

Wish I could be like David Watts

Good post we could not even hold out until half time now whats the plan B. Its only going 1 way IMO they will get a second then we will crumble and they will either kick the crap out of us or call off the dogs .
Either way we will lose it sounds like unless the pride in the jersey kicks in and we equalize right away

Agree, we are bottom of the league so might as well. EDB should get 45 as well

Yeah Cook at times looks like he can’t be arsed anymore. That ball over the top was his all day long and he barely raised a jog and Field had to cover .

Highlight of the half : Leeds comms asking why when we can break and go forward we go sideways and back ?

Welcome to our nightmare

Has he had the ball with a QPR man within 10m?

Ashby has been a waste of a loan, would rather have kept Kakay who was bang average but always gave 100% and cared.
The decision to use our loan budget on Ashby and not Hayden was a shocker.

He's gone massively backwards this summer as well, overweight like a few in this team never good enough for this level

It isn't going to stop any time soon though. MC isn't up to it,but crucially these players are actually worse than what came before. There is no hope ...even the sick notes aren't going to prevent us dropping. Christ, a lot of these players are barely "professionals".

Seriously, if you think Cook can't be arsed then I've been watching a different Cook all season. He got a massive whack on Tuesday and played on, as ever. If anyone deserves some slack it's him.

Soon as their awful goal went in I closed all the browser windows and went and played my bass guitar for the rest of the first half - just can't do it to myself so soon after Tuesday night.

Will give the 2nd half a go, but if it gets to 0-2 then its back to the bass.

Just cannot have another season of this anymore.

If Andersen comes out for the second half, Marti deserves his P45.

I didn't think Celar was the problem there. He used it well 2 or 3 times. Smyth did ok at times too.

It's getting people around these few and far between moments that's the problem.

So utterly fcked off watching us do the same things badly , game after game ! Thought we started well and organised for the first 10 minutes ant then we just stopped running and chasing things down ? I thought I don’t think we will keep this up for 90 mins , turns out 10 was enough effort for them .
Leeds are getting in behind so easily down the sides , through the middle , whatever they fancy .
Still in this game somehow but for how long is anybody’s guess

I feel exactly the same way, mate. Just dulled, anesthetised, and others can choose their own words.

Re the stats another poster mentioned, 22 touches by them in our box, 2 from us in theirs. 2! I mean, why play a striker at all?

It's 'only' 0-1 thanks to an offside flag, but, on the levels and quality, it could be 0-10!

Like someone else mentioned, I genuinely am starting to think Marti coaxed his contract out of the club, smelt the Scandi coffee, and now he's soliciting his sacking. If he and his team can't do any better pdq than this dismal blown-in-the wind trash, he should probably do the more decent thing and resign.

Every game is just about hanging on from grim death. It is what it is and won’t change until we have a fully fit squad, which is months away.

Will also need significant reinforcements in January, but by then we will need a miracle.

Bearing in mind who we are playing, where we are playing and the players that are available that half wasn't so bad for me although Leeds should have at least one more goal. I thought Dunne’s header was in.

All we can do is try not to concede again, try to catch them on the break or at set pieces. The real problems will come once we start having to make substitutions later in the game. We may as well have nine of Clive's rather rotund ladies of the night on the bench.
