Our very own RWC thread.

Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England will join 16 other nations as they compete for the ultimate prize in rugby – the Webb Ellis Cup – which was last won by the Springboks in 2019. The opening match of Rugby World Cup 2023 will see hosts France face three-time winners New Zealand on Friday 8th September. The final will take place seven weeks later on Saturday 28th October.

If Wales had Gats back a little earlier …. Got to be France in France shirley ?

You've always been a Francophile so no surprise there really.

I still say South africa because while the French can be devastatingly brilliant on their day, the exact same team can also be awful.

The Boks are usually pretty much the same whatever and recently they have proved to be a very powerful side.

Anyone setting up a mini league ?, I would be up for it.

Continually being banned by Planet Swans for Porthcawl and then being reinstated.

Nor do I, they virtually killed RL during the 2nd world war.

RL was massive before the war, far bigger than RU, the vichy government banned and stole all its money.

RL in france has never recovered.

France are second behind England when it comes to RU for teams i want to lose.

Very unfortunate for the AB's and the player, but they have some exceptional players that can come in on the wings.

Tonight's game between Les Bleus v AB's should be a cracker.

France need to improve big time otherwise they will lose. Far too conservative in that first half. Should have gone for a penalty kick to touch rather than go for the missed 3 points. NZ playing the more adventurous Rugby. Unless the French up it my money is on the All Blacks. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Well, France are living offside in midfield and getting away with it, extraordinary Jeff!

Interesting 1st half ,good start from the ABs with an early try which I thought more would follow but both sides looking nervous hence the kicking , two penalties awarded for collapsing the scrum which seems to be the ABs weakness and considering the conditions the ball handling from both sides has been excellent .Just wondering who's going to take a few chances to get a grip on the game otherwise it's going to be more of the same

France second half .. different animal. Clinical!!
Sorry guys never forgiven the All Blacks for Andy Haden jumping out of the lineout and cheating Wales out of most of us viewing Wales first ever win against the ABs
