We really did have people thinking he was basically a liability.

Great stuff son.

Poor with ball at his feet FFS.

I seem to have duplicated myself but he's worth two players and still basically a kid.

Ive long said we should aim to keep him as long as possible.

Needs to be kept in the side, strong reliable player, but one who will make a mistake, like them all, even Van Dyke makes them.

Mate, he was a liability and as KOL said today, who'd have thunk it that Cabango would be in our defence right now, playing 'football'.

Hats off to the fella. Learning and developing, big kudos to him.

And a heroic presence at the death. Who else would you want, fair play to the lad, in so many ways

Cabango was immense today, as was Downes, Manning and Christie, who looked a class above. Shame we probably couldn’t afford him when his contract runs out at Fulham.
Quiz question: How many inept referees can you fit into Swansea.com stadium ?
Answer: Unknown. Until we build a bigger stadium

Excellent today, in the air and on the ground.

He’s getting a lot more support from Christie than he ever got from laird so he’s not having to play two positions at once.

All players have peaks and troughs, new manager new system etc. What is clear is that even if we have to play Ben with one leg Bennet must not start. Also i had the eagle eye view of Downes and Grimes first half, it is developing into a secure unit.

Bennett was good but now he has seriously regressed and is a liability without question.

Watched him closely first half, quiet did everything safely reads the game well. Second half he was a WB we need but he was blowing out of his by 80mins. Looks like a great RM system player.

Exactly. Laird was a decent winger, but a poor defensive RB. He would often be caught up the field leaving Cabango exposed 1v1 against a speedy winger.

When played in his proper position he is more than solid enough for this division. Good game today

Cabango is still learning his trade at only 21 and he’s improving

He’s been in and around the first team since he was 18 and has potential. He’s had poor games and those are rare. He’s not a natural with the ball at his feet in the way that say Rodon is but he’s strong and commanding when played centrally.

The OP shows his lack of understanding every time he posts anything so no surprise there.

Yeah, but no, but. The WRB's main duties is: Wing, then back.

We need a speedy, solid RCB to support, and Cabango could now well be that with a proper, intelligent CC in that space ahead. The RCB, like Cabango needs pace to cope with speedy wingers. Always.

BC can thrive under CC's clever tutelage.

That was the player I remember from the unders and the player I maintain will captain Wales seniors at some point.
Absolutrpe stormer today despite being out of position.
Having the hard working Christie on WB durties helped.

He' certainly not the most mobile but his reading of the game has improved immensely and he can only get better . A gem

"He’s had poor games and those are rare."

I have to disagree. He regularly has poor games, which is why he was dropped by both club and country.

The fact he's getting so much praise after putting in a good but not so special performance indicates that his "good" games are rare. Let's hope he can continue that level of performance.

Morning Dwight.
I see him as a good lad and a decent player regardless of his age.
Martin is picking him away from his most comfortable position and that is where he has made mistakes.
That said, all out players make them.
