Pete O'Rourke is rarely wrong, sadly.

Along with the "New Investor" that should really help with promoting season card sales .

Poll: Now the club has refused to move on sesaon ticket prices what will you now do?

Saw a tweet about that this morning and hoped it was wrong.

The new owner will be piling cash into the club though, so he'll likely be replaced by a more prolific less injury prone replacement?

WTF is happening?......we needed Humphs to stay, so much for investing in the Team.

What next?

At least the 800k can be invested in a suitable replacement 🤣

The squad for this Saturday’s friendly against Luton is going to be laughably bad.

Hope Jack the kitman brings his boots.

Possession with progression.

The club that nearly went bust 12 months ago now buying Humps and have just signed Charlie Wyke on a rumoured 10 grand a week.
Pretty sickening

The only hope here is that the bid draws out clubs from higher up the food chain. PNE were supposed to be sniffing around, but probably agent talk.
On signing Humps said he had unfinished business here. Well if this is correct he sorted his business in less than 1 season.
Ollie please don’t put in a transfer request.

I am reminded of Chaff’s podcast phase for recent events “the circus has come to town, and refused to leave”.

Pretty inevitable from the moment he signed for us on a two year deal.
A certainty once we were relegated and he'd made an impact when he was on the pitch.

It's annoying that it's Wigan splashing the cash after admin, but we've been here before.

The fee is 2.5/3 times what we paid for him. You could call that good business if there wasn't the attachment.

If Wigan can suddenly be in a position to be legitimately signing Wyke on £10k a week and also sign Humphrys after the parlous situation they have been in for the last few years, then lower league football is well and truly fu**ed.

This administration lark is a complete joke. It's a green light to take the pi$$ and then stick two fingers up at all the other clubs around them. It keeps happening.

Clubs that are run properly and decently like ours have no chance. None at all.

I've already bought my season card, but wouldn't blame anyone if they didn't renew theirs just at the moment. We need some positive, encouraging news, difficult though that may be at the moment, it is entirely the wrong time of the year for this to be happening. A perfect storm. No fault at all of the current Board in any way, but a baptism of fire if ever there was one.

Yet again, we seem to be weeks behind everyone else as the new season looms, we have no manager (not the clubs' fault) a shortage of essential players, key players gone and others apparently leaving and we are currently in the throes of a seemingly hostile takeover that some seem to think threatens the very existence of the club as we know it.

No wonder people are pondering.

The season is going to be a hard slog and any hopes of promotion are all but gone.

- virtually no defence, only one striker (Who is at best a poor league 2 player), no manager and some dodgy new major shareholders.

Any hope we had after the departure of DB as now evaporated, I would not be surprised if Rathbone was sold very soon.
