We need Leon - again 12:24 - May 6 with 6949 views | jacabertawe | I honestly believe that we now, probably more than last season, need Leon on. He will bring back intelligence, commitment and control to our midfield. Get shot of Ki, he clearly is no longer interested and Carol needs guidance and discipline. No, Leon alone will not keep us up, but we need someone who actually gives a damn.

Indeed. Leon's great strength, apart from always being available for a pass, is (or was) to receive the ball and move it on quickly - with either foot. When Carroll receives the ball, you know where he's going to pass it about 5 seconds before he does it (normally backwards). He takes too many touches - possibly because he's so one footed. And he's lightweight and can't tackle.

Especially against Romeu. Hed fking eat him alive. Southampton outmuscled an Allardyce team last night. King and Clucas have to start. [Post edited 6 May 2018 19:09]

It's this type of thinking that has got us into this mess, Dyer, Routledge to name but a few.

Ah yes, because they're midfield generals aren't they? The people everyone are insisting have to start are the lightweight, spineless twumps that have got us into this mess. They're not going to change now. IF Leon was fit enough to compete and last a good 60 minutes, it's a no brainier. The rest of them aren't fit to clean his boots. No idea whether he is though; suspect not, but none of us know. We had this exact same situation last year when most wrote him off, and in the end his quality shone through.

They are the best we've got in the circumstances FFS. Just because they are shyte it doesn't change the fact that they are the most suitable players we have and to suggest Leon could do better on no game time is laughable. [Post edited 6 May 2018 19:32]

Apart from that he'll if a signing by huw and Co . !! And to think we already witnessed his weaknesses once before under Rodgers when he was battling for a place against the likes of Orlandi ,Gower and Butler . Turned out he wasn't good enough to lace mark gower s boots let alone leon britton ' s . Way to go Jenkins, yet another dog signed .

Except Roberts has been out most committed out field player in the last few games he has played. He shows the kind of grit & determination the rest need to show if we are to get a result.
