New Travel Options 16:29 - Feb 27 with 9187 views | fbreath | Just had email from the club about the following bus options to the stadium. https://www.swanseacity.com/news/swans-team-zeelo-fans-matchday-travel?_ccCt=C8s SWANSEA CITY HAS PARTNERED WITH ON-DEMAND COACH SERVICE ZEELO TO PROVIDE SWANS FANS WITH A NEW INNOVATIVE WAY TO TRAVEL TO AND FROM THE LIBERTY STADIUM ON A MATCHDAY. For Saturday’s Premier League game with West Ham, Swans fans will be able to travel together from 13 locations across South West Wales with the aim of making the matchday experience more enjoyable for the Jack Army. Zeelo coaches will be in operation from the likes of Llanelli, Aberdare, Neath and Mumbles with passengers getting fast entry and exit before and after the game. And to launch the new service, Zeelo are offering supporters the chance to travel to Saturday’s game for FREE with the use of a special promo code SWANS. Zeelo uses leading technology to understand where there are large numbers of fans who have a difficult journey to each home game. They then serve this demand with executive coaches for a quick and seamless journey right to the stadium. To start the initiative, the following routes will be in operation for Saturday’s game against West Ham. Route 1 - Three Crosses, Dunvant and Killay. Route 2 - Bishopston, Oystermouth and Mumbles. Route 3 — Aberdare, Cwmdare, Aberdulais and Neath. Route 4 — Llanelli, Loughor and Gorseinon. A Swansea City spokesperson said: “It’s great that we can now offer this service to our fans. We are constantly looking to improve the transport issues on a matchday and this service from Zeelo is the first step towards that goal. “Fans can enjoy a matchday with a drink or two and get to and from the game quickly and stress free.” Barney Williams, co-founder of Zeelo, said: “We want to get as many fans as possible to the stadium every time Swansea play. This partnership allows us to provide a stress-free way to get to the game which is tailored for the fans.” All services are run with executive coaches and customers can track their coach arriving in real time on a simple-to-use app. All tickets must be purchased online at https://zeelo.co/t/swansea-city and the promo code SWANS entered at time of purchase to claim the free journey. Return tickets will be sent directly to your mobile and are available from as little as £8 return for adults and just £4.50 for children and concessions For more details, including ticket prices and pick up times, please visit https://zeelo.co/t/swansea-city This service is run independently by Zeelo. All enquiries can be made at contact@zeelo.co or via their website https://zeelo.co/t/swansea-city [Post edited 27 Feb 2018 16:36]

New Travel Options on 13:22 - Feb 28 with 2047 views | Dewi1jack | It's a good idea and a start but... It would have cost me £25 for 2 adults and 2 kids from Penllergaer when I was living there. Bit pricey when you consider parking (£5 or £6) and fuel, even a gallon return from Penllergaer to the stadium and back (Pross's Bentley figures??) at £6.50. Car comes in well under 50% cheaper. Or around £200 for the season against £475 by using the car instead. Even more difference in the Championship IMHO, There needs to be a big revamp of the travel plans using public transport links properly. Plans I studied when in Swansea Met some 7/8 years ago are still in place today. Travel Cymru and the council weren't happy then and I'm guessing they still aren't.

Like I said to Shandy further up, it won’t work for everyone. A family of four, or particularly four adults are invariably going to be better off making their own way to games. There will be plenty that may be better off doing this though and people don’t always make choices for purely financial reasons.

New Travel Options on 22:28 - Feb 28 with 1932 views | owainglyndwr | So masses of support in the Swansea Valley but no mention of service. There should be at least a Park and Ride in the valley
New Travel Options on 22:44 - Feb 28 with 1928 views | Private_Partz | Seems bloody expensive to me. We should have transport for those areas not well served by Public transport but 8 quid a shout?? The Three Crosses one is needed as they have a crap bus service. Not so Dunvant Killay and Sketty etc. Can't see anyone touching it from there. Also the over 60s will avoid it like the plague with free bus travel available. I would have sooner seen us running buses from Aberysytwth, Lampeter, Heverfordwest etc. If we had a ground big enough to accommodate groups of supporters from such areas.... This will die a death just like most of the initial park and ride schemes collapsed.
