I lived in Bristol for about 20 years and you must have lived in the roughest parts. Bristol is, without doubt, a fantastic place with great people and loads to do. Never had any problem from being Welsh. In fact they loved it.
However, Birmingham has always struck me as an absolute shite heap and I have been there loads of times, And even stayed overnight there for my detriment. Compared to Bristol, Birmingham is a 3rd world city. | |

I think Bristol is a lovely place. Never liked their club's fans when we were playing them but a great place for a weekend. As is Bath.

Once went to Merthyr years ago with football.
